TRAILER TRUCK DRIVER-LOW BED
• Operate trucks and/or truck tractors and trailers safely and efficiently on public highways and in off-road situations to deliver equipment and materials to job sites, vendor locations, and customer locations.
• Proactively report all equipment malfunctions to maintenance staff.
• Perform required administrative duties.
• Perform manual labor as assigned.
• Meet performance standards required to qualify for the Driver Low Bed 1 position.
• Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
MOBILE TELESCOPIC CRANE OPERATOR
• Responsible for inspecting the condition of the work site prior to setting up the crane. After setting up the machine, manipulates it to hoist position and/or transport material such as machinery, equipment and other construction products.
• Aware of how much material can be lifted safely based upon weather conditions and the capacity of the crane.
• Moves heavy objects from one place to another using specialized machinery, such as fixed or swing telescope booms, lattice booms or large or small hydraulic cranes.
• Inspects and maintains the crane against any defect or malfunctions.
TRACTOR-TRAILER TRUCK DRIVER
• Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Reads bill of lading to determine assignment.
• Fastens chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit.
• Loads or unloads, or assists in loading and unloading truck.
LOADER OPERATOR
• Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or rail cars: Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader.
MOBILE CRANE OPERATOR
• Operates gasoline- or diesel-powered crane mounted on specially constructed truck chassis to lift and move materials and objects: Drives truck to work site and directs activities of LABORER, HOISTING (any industry) in placing blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.
• Moves levers and pedals to rotate crane on chassis, to raise and lower crane boom, and to raise and lower loadline.
• May operate crane according to signals from helper.
• May bolt boom sections together to extend or modify boom for pile driving or high lifting.
TRACTOR-TRAILER TRUCK DRIVER
• Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Reads bill of lading to determine assignment.
• Fastens chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit.
• Loads or unloads, or assists in loading and unloading truck.
• Works as member of two-person team driving tractor with sleeper bunk behind cab.
• Services truck with oil, fuel, and radiator fluid to maintain tractor-trailer.
FORKLIFT OPERATOR
• Offload merchandise and move to designated areas by use of forklift, pallet jack or other manual means.
• Transport merchandise and operating supplies to designated holding areas.
• Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, auto-scrubbing and other tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment (as directed).
• Snow removal using a shovel, backpack blower, and snow thrower in designated areas (as directed).
• Report safety concerns to Supervisor.
• Complete daily preventative maintenance list for forklift and other mechanical equipment.
• Check daily full case overwrites for expiration dates, pull cases forward, and organize and straighten for Order-writer.
• Keep a record of daily operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones, to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
• Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, livestock, or other materials.
• Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs.
• Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
• Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes to document weights and to comply with state regulations.
• Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks.
• Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
• Load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary.
• Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes.
• Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
• Crank trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure vehicles.
