• Supervision and co-ordination the day to day activities of the civil contractors.
• Understanding, reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Ensuring that all works follow the relevant National and International standards.
• Knowledge of various construction disciplines i.e. cost control, quality control, material scheduling and estimation.
• Ensuring adequate Health and Safety measures for the works.
• Reconciliation of the quantities of the materials used for the works with the BOQs.
• Maintenance of the civil works plan and update it with the progress of the works.
• Maintenance of the project diary of Civil works.
• Updating the working civil drawings to as-built drawings.
• Reporting daily to the Unity Site Works Manager the progress and the issues of the civil works.
• Attending as required, meetings for the project with contractors, project site Works Manager and Project Manager.
• Liaison with the Project Engineers and Consultants for any issues with the work plans and drawings.
• Reporting weekly the progress of the works, the risks to the plan, any variations in BOQs or man hours and safety issues.

• Review and comment consultant’s designs and submissions.
• Agree design and planning of project stages and processes.
• Direct supervision of construction work from foundation stage to handing over /post-snagging.
• Prepare site visit reports.
• Participate in project review meetings and prepare minutes of meeting.
• Organize inward/outward company correspondence.
• Provide technical support for equipments loading, delivery and installation.
• Implement excellent documentation management and records.
• Scrutinize civil-related jobs (their quotations) being handled by other departments.
• Prepare bill of quantities for projects.
• Carry out market survey for materials and prepare cost analysis sheet for bids.
• Undertake such other works assigned by management.
