Key accountabilities:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify & address problems, meet deadlines.
Meet set targets involving very long & diversified production process with a highly variable production forecast.
Cope with shortage of skilled manpower in a labour intensive manufacturing operations.
Work with design, planning, production & sales departments to evaluate the tenders and produce design output with expected delivery schedule.
Control all stages of client inspection consisting type, sample & routine testing in High Voltage, Switch Gear & Mechanical Labs.
Responsible for testing of all raw materials as per company standards in ceramic lab prior to batching. Conduct visit to mines for the evaluation of existing and future suppliers.
Work closely with quality assurance department for the implementation of ISO 9000 system.
Participate in management review meeting in studying, analysing & making decisions for different company matters.
Submit the periodic and necessary reports to GM Plants & top management.
Follow up & control the personnel in all departments in order to ensure the targeted standards of quality, productivity, efficiency, work safety & cleanliness are applied before, during and after production by promoting self inspection process.
Ensure to run & follow the existing system strictly according to company procedures and work instructions.
Work closely & coordinate with mechanical & electrical maintenance departments to minimize the down time of machines by implementing preventive maintenance of critical machinery.
Audit and take preventive measures to rectify unsafe conditions that eliminate possibilities of injuries both for employees and equipment & communicate importance of safety to all stake holders on the platform of Organizational Safety & Health Environmental Committee (OSHECOM) to aim zero accidents.
Monitor and take control measures in manpower utilization to keep the cost within acceptable budget limits.
Analyse and take required actions to assure the products meet the desired factory standards and defects are controlled within acceptable limits.
Plan and conduct monthly stock counts and ensure to keep planned inventory of critical local & imported spares and raw materials.
Identify areas for improvement in subordinates and arrange for training to increase skills & competencies in evaluation process of yearly performance appraisals.
Plan, implement and control project work relating to R & D of new & existing products.
Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for all areas of performance and drive continuous improvement throughout operations.
Monitor the production process on daily basis and adjusting schedules as needed.
Negotiate labour trade union on key issues.
Propose and justify the investments necessary to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Management of sub contractors on frequent basis.
Supervising and motivating a team of employees.
worked as the head of the Production, Workshop, Design, Raw Material, Batching and Warehouse in the Insulator Division of the establishment. Main responsibilities were:
· Trouble free running of all departments to achieve the set targets of production and efficiency
· Planning of local and imported materials both for body and glaze.
· Being head of Quality Steering Committee of Insulator Division I am involved in quality tasks which normally cover defect analysis and their remedies, development of new products, cost cutting & Continual improvement, union handling and internal auditing
Monthly production was increased from 450 tons to 550 tons along with 4% decrease in rejection. Main responsibilities were:
· To carryout the diagnostic analysis of specific problems and troubleshooting along with implementing the preventive maintenance plan of the critical machinery
· To communicate and coordinate with marketing & sales managers to achieve the despatching targets
· To run the design department smoothly
· To implement and maintain ISO 9000 Quality Management System
Main responsibilities were to achieve desired output according to monthly production plan by communicating other departments like workshops, human resource and purchase. Increased monthly production from 240 tons to 450 tons
As in charge of CNC shop, my major responsibilities were to provide on job training to workers and programming on the CNC lathe machines for manufacturing of automotive parts.
