As part of my HR Management program, I provide uninterrupted support by working hand-in-hand with the career development and operations teams to promote and accomplish the department's objectives. This includes serving as a point of contact and provide outstanding support and related services to international and domestic students, alumni, employees, and employers of Seneca College.
Through this assignment, I have been given the opportunity to not only utilize my interpersonal skills through consistent collaboration with Seneca Works team, but also to deliver a broad range of services to both internal and external stakeholders, most notably in recruiting local and international students and vetting employers. Also, I have given the privilege to manage and ultimately promote student persistence by establishing and managing effective communication and timely support for academic requirements, course admission and registration, and timelines for completing all items related to their program of studies until they are enrolled or onboarded. And help create and maintain a long-lasting relationship with employers by working and solving their requirements in close coordination with employer relations representatives, career strategists, and work integrated learning coordinators.
Assisted senior HR leaders with fostering partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. Executed and improved HR processes including the annual compensation cycle, performance management cycle, employee engagement survey, employee relations, talent acquisition and recruitment, organizational development and more.
Acted as frontliner by providing subject matter expertise in resolving on complex business issues and contributed to the development of new ideas and methods where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Exercised significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best and innovative relevant approach for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
Key responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management by providing ongoing consultation to the management on human resource-related issues and acting as an employee champion and change agent by assessing and anticipating HR-related needs and communicated these needs proactively with HR department and business management to develop integrated solutions. Formulated partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. Maintained an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
Member of the Senior HR Leadership Team and plays a pivotal role in actively supporting the business operations by providing an effective customer-focused, comprehensive and pragmatic HR advisory and services covering the full Generalist remit; operates in line within organizational policies, procedures and legal requirements to support the effective delivery of HR business plan and to meet the organizational HR objectives and strategic measures/initiatives.
Play a diverse and likewise major role in facilitating and implementing multiple HR initiatives and measures; including acting as the central glue to the whole organization by taking numerous responsibilities and keep all human resources wheels in motion. Extensively assist in virtually every aspect of human resources work including management advisory functions, personnel and payroll systems processing and support; pay and compensation services; position classification and wage administration; recruitment and placement; and organizational design. Support managers and employees with information on, and interpretations of, compensation, recruitment, and position management procedures, policies, and guidelines.
Acquired a comprehensive understanding, cutting-edge knowledge, and innovative skills in human resources functions, with a focus on acquiring hands-on experience in recruiting, compensation, training, benefits, occupational health and safety, labor relations, leadership, motivation, and organizational behavior. The program allows us to develop critical and strategic skills, as well as develop our ability to use industry-standard software and prepare us for a career in the challenging and growing field of human resources. The Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) credits this program toward the CHRP designation.
