As a consultant, I am involved on various projects in a number of sectors. I have worked in sectors such as Law, Airspace, Telecommunication and Banking among others. Involved in projects that included technical skills such as Agile, SharePoint 2010-13, C#, Linq-To-SQL, Entity Framework, WCF, MVC, T-SQL, SQL and Silverlight Pivot Control.
Worked with clients such as Allen and Overy, NATS, Dixon, Hitachi among others.
My responsibilities at Allen and Overy were to develop custom SharePoint web parts and creating the UI using CSS and JavaScript. I was also responsible for the Data layer and web services that included the functionality for the majority of web parts developed by the team.
Independently worked on a SharePoint project for NATS that required implementing a new solution for the Internal IT department to track and record employee performance reports.
Involved in the development of a new solution for the NATS Executive team to track flights that are affected in specific regions in the United Kingdom. This worked involved developing a custom solution and presenting data on an IDV solution.
As an Application Services Developer, my main duties included developing n-tier Government application in new technology frameworks such as ASP.Net MVC3 and working with third party technologies such as Telligent and SharePoint Foundation 2010. These applications are developed as part of a team in an Agile and/or Scrum environment. Providing assistance and training to other colleagues in using technologies, programming languages and development frameworks. Documenting processes and creating documentation on application code (such as services and utilities) and deployment. Assisting and working with Test and Ops teams on live issues/ bugs relating to the applications. Assisting in creating lab environments for a number of projects. This will involve identifying machines and third party software to be installed. Finally, deploying the application and configuring the machines. Providing 4th line support on existing applications. Responsible for Legacy Connector Management Application (CMA). Mainly involving code changes and building the solution for deployment on local machines. This application is written in Java and uses a number of open sourced software such as Apache Tomcat.
