• Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the Assets & Places function and monitor the performance and execution of those plans to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company’s strategy.
• Manage all design work required through the project life cycle. (Strategy visibility, Business case development, collecting requirement, managing Stakeholders, preparing Scope of Work, and technical support during the construction phase).
• Lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members and external resources, identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues
• Establishes standards and procedures manuals for the systems and sub-systems.
• Keeping up to date with changing building legislation and codes of practice relating to design
• Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Help in establishing and drafting the business case, providing support in benchmarking-related work.
• Support providing additional details and answering the tenderer's queries.
• Review and evaluate the bidder’s submissions and ensure their compliance with the RFP.
• Direct, review, or approve project design changes with health and safety in mind.
• Works closely with Project Managers to resolve existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity.
• Monitors the quality and progress of the systems on each project, ensuring that requirements are satisfied.
• Working on reducing company O&M and capital expenditures while improving public transportation services.
• Quickly respond to operational or technical issues to ensure maximum productivity.
• Utilize Maximo Asset Management through analyzing and controlling the data.
• Leading the development of robust maintenance delivery techniques to avoid or minimize unplanned failures and impact on operations. Lead the deployment of monitoring systems for reliability and availability and deliver ongoing improvements
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership for all project requirements, working closely with project/construction manager and other engineering disciplines to develop and execute an effective project plan right from RPF preparation, tender documentation until closing & handover.
- Supervising the activities of assigned projects; directing assigned personnel in meeting cost and time schedules, verifying materials/equipment and assuring results meet design requirements.
- Offering engineering support in verifying drawings, specifications, and work of contractors; ensuring preparation of “as built” drawings, construction drawings, maintaining manuals and ensuring schedules are progressing in the most efficient manner possible.
- Managing end-to-end project lifecycle in addition to identifying project resources requisitions for field purchases and tracking project milestones.
- Providing technical support and sound engineering judgment on constructability, maintainability, Contractor’s work and system enhancements related to the project; and preparing construction estimates, cost engineering studies, schedules, and budgets.
- Liaising with stakeholders for project scoping, time and resource requirements and scheduling construction activities; preparing reports on site-work progress and maintaining effective communication with all parties involved (consultants/Contractors/Government Agencies, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provided project and site support as necessary including scheduling workflow, contract negotiations, supervising work of subcontractors to meet agreed design specifications and project within the envisaged time frame.
- Offered innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning /scheduling problems in addition to managing project budgets and tracking project milestones and compliance with established targets.
- Contributed to the successful performance of the assigned site through constant tracking and the delivery of annual, monthly and weekly progress reports to management for review and decision making.
- Participated in meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines including governmental departments for seeking licenses and permits.
- Performed site inspection and reviewed all completed works for establishing design goals and project milestones.
I had a responsibility as a Designer in Interior Spaces. in this short period, I worked on Princess Noura Bint Abdulrahman University project with my colleagues and as an Architect Engineer while supervising the installation on site.
