• Provide necessary resources for effective implementation and sustenance of HSEMS.
• Report HSEMS performance to the management periodically (Scorecard).
• Ensure Legal compliance with respect to their scope of activities.
• Ensure identification of root cause for the identified non conformances/ deviations and to implement corrective actions (action plan)/Preventive actions.
• Identify the competency gap for their subordinate personnel and implement necessary actions.
• Carry out annual performance evaluation of reporting employees.
• Ensure periodic medical checkups are carried out for the employees.
• Ensure participation and communication amongst various plants and personnel regarding OH&S hazards and management system and EMS.
• Verification of incident investigations and to ensure remedial actions is implemented.

• Ensuring Risk Assessment / Job Hazard Analysis for all tasks in the project.
• Manages the collection and analysis of all safety data and reporting (daily, weekly and monthly).
• Recommends improvements to current safety programs and procedures, and coordinates with Project Staff to implement approved changes.
• Responsible for leading the safety, health and environmental activities.
• Implement and administer safety, health, and environmental management plans, policies, standards and programs at the sites to establish world-class performance in Occupational Safety & Health and Process Safety.
• Works collaboratively with the line managers providing guidance and counsel to help them successfully administer their responsibilities in keeping their people injury free.
• Empowers department staff in their effort to solving problems and developing plans for improvement.
• Participate and provide required support to corporate and site management for implementation of Corporate RMP as per the Corporate Procedure.
• Participate & provide support in incident analysis, incident investigation, including process incidents etc. evaluate near miss related to the department.
• Support the section / department for establishing and implementing the Safety KPI’s, Annual Safety Goals and Objectives. Provide safety statistics of the section / department, prepare dashboard for KPIs (monthly and annual).
• Prepare report on hazardous substances and process to appraise Management on audit finding and support their decision making.
• Participate in Safety Audits, Management walks through, inspection, Special Reviews. Measure the effectiveness of implementation of field related safety procedures i.e., WP, JSA, etc.

• Follow-up the implementation of HSEMS of the company and workplace projects.
• Investigate any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which happened in the workplace.
• Coordinate and monitoring Hazard Identification Risk Assessment.
• Lead meetings with Safety officers /staff /workers to remind about the following:
Housekeeping Personnel protective equipment Power tools Hand tolls Assembly point Scaffolding Fire Any other subject as neededfighting.
• Ensure first aid box, fire extinguisher/blanket etc. within site maintained.
• Forward immediate actions for violating safety instructions in coordination with safety representatives.
• Make sure that all employees in the department are following the safety requirements as per the approved HSE policies & procedures.
• Raise the Follow up Report on weekly basis.
• Ensure that entire employees in the company are aware of company General Safety Policy.
• Follow-up on the reservation documentation of HSEMS at the Centre for Documentation and make sure their presence workplace.
• Follow-up amendments to the documents and make sure the withdrawal of obsolete documents.
