• Responsible for general ledger and financial statement preparation (month-end, quarter-end, and year-end)
• Month end activities, including accrual (cost and income) and reversal entries, analysis, and amortization of prepaid accounts
• Managing and supervising the activities of Accountants based in entities under the company
• Conducting review of records and schedules prepared by Accountants based in entities under the company
• Formulate KPIs for Regional Finance Manager and heads of division to assist in their decision-making
• Analyze current and past trends in sales, cost of sales, revenue and expenses
• Participate and assist the Regional Finance Manager in the preparation of yearly budget forecasts of Revenue and revenue-related costs
• Solely responsible to register all companies in UAE and KSA under Al Masaood Oil Industry Supplies and Services Co. for Value Added Tax (VAT)
• Acquiring understanding and ensuring all VAT related transactions are in line with the Executive Regulation of Federal Tax Authority
• Updating the Regional Finance Manager on variances between Actual to Budget
• Hold budgetary meetings with different Head of Divisions on a monthly basis, to brief and explain on expected sales/revenue against costs and overheads
• Manage and work closely with project heads on capitalization of in-house manufactured assets and maintain record of each asset
• Supervise and review the recording and posting by junior accountants to ensure proper accounting procedure has been followed
• Investigate and reporting to Regional Finance Manager on any inconsistencies and irregularities
• Preparing financial reports by collecting, formatting, and analyzing as per organization policies and keeping such reports and information confidential
• Taking all control measures on job/service orders and delivery tickets with Operational Heads
• In liaise with external auditors carrying out yearly audit
• Review the inter-company and inter-group reconciliation reports prepared by Accountants
