• Responsible for all programming of custom designed machinery primarily
through PLC programming.
• Design of new automated spot welding machinery, both programming and aspects of mechanical design.
• Development of HMI's to reduce operator error, and ensure ease of use.
• Automation of data entry into PLC using visual basic to reduce human error
associated with data entry.
• Greatly improved speed of processes to decrease production time whilst maintaining quality.
• Commissioning of all new designed systems to meet strict cycle time requirements.
• Continued research and development undertaken to further improve all new
systems.
• Testing and validation of new systems implemented, improvements made when necessary.
• Design of robot cell for bag palletising system from conceptual design and layout, design and manufacture of custom parts, project management, component selection, through to installation and commissioning.
• Design through to manufacture and installation of sensor system for galvanising plant.
• Design and installation of 3.6m high platform to hold hopper above automatic bag packing machine, and to allow access for maintenance.
• Design, modelling in 3D, of various custom parts to be manufactured and installed.
• Design and installation of agitator system for tank farm
• Updates of electrical drawings in AutoCAD
• In charge of project management of factory move for large kitchen manufacturer. Involved completing drawings, leading regular meetings, scheduling, arranging necessary resources to complete move, ensuring all tasks completed on schedule.
• Daily dealing with clients, suppliers and engineering workshops.
• Project managed the installation of an automatic bag packing machine.
• Conducted FEA to ensure client’s parts were able to meet load requirements. Calculating both stress and deflection quantities as well as SWL’s.
• Compilation of maintenance manual for all machines at 30 year old plant.
• Completion of report and recommendations for client regarding installation of centralised vacuum system.
