Development manager for 3 releases of Aspen IMOS product which is a Java based web application for supply and distribution solution of petroleum refineries (Customers: British Petroleum - WCP refinery, ENI Italy, PetroChina).
• Aspen IMOS is an enterprise supply and distribution solution for companies in the oil and petroleum industry. It is an enterprise application based on J2EE and it integrates technologies such as WebServices, iBatis, Oracle and Weblogic.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Managed 3 releases of the product for full SDLC with a team size of 25 resources and coordinated with the global teams.
• Creating project plans and teamwork assignments, identifying resource needs, directs daily work efforts, and tracking key project milestones.
• Directing and development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning, and standard development practices.
• Holding Team building activities; Conduct performance reviews for the team members; guide the team members in career growth.
I led a team of 28 developers in Shanghai to design, develop and delivery of 2 releases of IMOS 2006.5, and V7.2 for customer British Petroleum, and ENI Italy. Aspen IMOS manages supply and demand balancing, inventory, nominations, exchanges, movement scheduling, and contract monitoring, while providing decision support tools to further manage the petroleum supply chain.

• Requirements gathering and draft/review functional specifications.
• Design, and review the design docs with the senior developers in the team.
• Implemented business validations for Contract monitoring, Shipment scheduling, Pipeline transport and Location balance.
• Set expectations to the team on Quality, and monitor Quality across all Project phases.
• Provide training to the new team members based on the project needs.
• Involved in usability and accessibility design issues of the system.
• Demo the completed features to the senior management and other stakeholders.
I was responsible for design and development of web-tier and business-tier components across various functionalists of the IMOS 2006.5 for customer BP WCP, US.

I worked in a team to design and implement modules of a web based health care system. I took part in designing, implementation and testing of Patient Registry module which allows users (hospital staff) to maintain patient medical records and generate various reports. I took part in requirement review together with the project manager.
