Responsible for the smooth functioning of infrastructure and operational environments that support application deployment to internal and external customers, including network infrastructure; server and device management; computer operations..
Some of the Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control the IT infrastructure and services
• Ensuring strategic capacity planning
• Managing the capacity, performance, and availability of all the components in Infrastructure, Applications, Services, Storage, networking, and connectivity that are used in the day-to-day operations of an organization
• Ensure consistency, reliability, and quality of service
• Increase stability, service improvement, issues diagnosis and resolution
• Ensure the performance and availability of digital services
Overseeing the infrastructure of technical operations, network systems deployment and maintenance including all IT infrastructure, WAN technologies, unified communications, local networks, wireless and security environment. Managing a team of IT employees, tracking technology in order to achieve business goals, eliminating security risks, increasing user satisfaction, and maintaining operations and systems.
Some of the Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing and overseeing SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-based) metrics for evaluating performance and achievements
Ensuring strategic capacity planning
Determining current and future enterprise infrastructure needs
Identifying and eliminating security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security
Overseeing departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting
Supervising a team of workers, while working closely with management, external vendors and advisors
Provide monthly reports to the management and LT level.
Create operational policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and best practices.
Assess and recommending new innovative technology solutions
Responsible for the operational support of the IP networks and telecommunications infrastructure. Managing a team of specialists who perform the day-to-day operations to ensure that the network systems and services are meeting the business needs.
Some of the responsibilities:
Accountable for managing day-to-day network operations, including routing, switching, VPN, firewall, unified communications and hardware or software modifications.
Mentored and coached new Network Engineers and Network Administrators.
Prepare the next year plan including the projects and estimated costs (CAPEX & OPEX).
Ensure that proper network and communication hardware and software inventories are up to date. Maintain all license and support contract documentation.
Administrating and maintaining (NADEC) IP network infrastructure including Routers, Switches, NMS, Firewalls and CME and solving any problems that may occur. Perform regular administration tasks required in the operations.
Brief about the responsibilities:
Administrating and managing routers, switches, firewalls and CME
Implementing, maintaining and managing network management systems such as CiscoWorks and NetFlow.
Creating and implementing the network and data flow design.
Administrating Internet management applications such as BlueCoat and Websense.
Implementing the high availability design and configurations for WAN links and Internet services.
Assisting the project manager in the network & VoIP project (130 remote sites) from the implementation phase to handover phase and my role was:
Follow up the equipments installation plan done by the contractor
Follow up IP-VPN circuits activation with STC and connect the new WAN links
Do the configurations needed
Prepare the VSAT project plan and follow up the implementation with the contractor to meet the deadline
Design the Cisco IP phones installation plan in HQs Offices
Discuss and solve all issues related to the project with the contractor team in a weekly basis meetings
