Highlights:

(a) Founding member of the Advisory & Equity Capital Markets desk. Pitched and won mandates in excess of US$ 3bn till date, awarded “Top Performer” for 2010, 2011 and 2012

(b) Advised on 17 transactions within the Oil & Gas (Upstream, Midstream and Downstream), Banking, Manufacturing, FMCG, TMT (Automation, Telecom), Utilities (Power), Industrial, Chemicals and Logistics sector

(c) Experienced in M&A (including LBOs), Hybrid Securities, Syndications, Structured Finance and Capital Markets


Responsibilities:

(a) Origination; Prepare and present pitch-books (assist senior bankers for large ticket transactions), proposals, industry research and capital markets analysis for soliciting new business

(b) Relationship Management; Contribute to the sourcing and execution process by developing relationship with C-suite executives, industry professionals, regulators, financial institutions, HNWI Investors and government institutions

(c) Execution; Lead engagement teams to ensure successful transaction execution; analyze and interpret financial statements, develop innovative & appropriate financial structures, prepare comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses, collaborate directly with management at clients to author information memorandum and craft presentations to present business highlights. Directly involved in negotiations during M&A and private placements. Review various project & financial documentation in light of regulatory and commercial framework, problem solving - coordinate with clients, legal counsels, technical and insurance advisors, and consortium members for resolving transaction issues

(d) HR Management; Manage and mentor three (3) analysts, assist senior management in the recruitment process

Worked within the Transaction Advisory Services from Apr to Sep 2009, where I led a team of two (2) analysts & worked on six (6) deals, with exposure in buy-side due diligence, financial modeling & conducting business review. Responsibilities included preparation of consultative reports to assist companies in understanding business drivers & risks.

During Apr 2006 to Mar 2009, was engaged in performing audit of financial statements of companies in the financial services, utilities and oil & gas sector. Responsibilities included leading teams to ensure successful execution of audit procedures, analyzing financial statements to identify material deviations, implementation of IFRS to promote transparent financial reporting and present reports to the senior management of client companies to identify and address compliance risks. Was seconded to Dubai Office from Jan to Mar 2009 in order to avail cross cultural experience. During my time at EY, I completed the mandatory work experience of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Pakistan in order to receive CA charter.
