Key Responsibilities
Head of HSSE Department and reports directly to Project Director. Provide HSE inputs for Tender documents. Evaluate Contractors’ HSE performance in tendering stage for awarding contract. Prepare and implement HSES Offshore and Onshore HSE procedures of Project and Qatar Petroleum for the Ship Construction & Repair Yard Development Projects; Review and approval of EPC Contractors’ HSE Documents; Conduct HSES audits; Hazardous and nonhazardous waste management; Conduct Safety Induction, HSE Toolbox Talks, Emergency Drills & Task Specific HSE Trainings; Preparing HSES Reports; Administration of PTW; HSES Inspections, Investigate HSES incidents and accidents - evaluate and determine causes and prepare reports; Propose update to Oil Spill Contingency Plans as required. Tasks related to Consent to Operate Ship Repair Yard and Construction facilities. Check on ISPS compliance. Monitor Laydown and Camps for HSE compliance. Liaise with QP & Port officials for vessels movement.
Project Information -Marine Works
Construction of graving docks 400m x 80m x 16.5m, 360m x 66m x 14.5m (≈ 750, 000t of reinforced concrete), quays, unloading quay and finger piers. The Marine Works for the Ship Construction Facility consist of aprons, finger pier (outfit quay), quayside fittings, fenders, and crane rails, foundations, anchor points, floating pontoons, and end stops on quays / piers. And other services like above / underground substations, dockside and Quayside access towers, workboat mooring points, floating, jib cranes, dock arms, pump house - dewatering pumps, winches, contaminated water treatment plant, utility pipelines, dry dock gates QMAX floating dock - 405mt X 27.02mt (≈ 43, 785t of steel) and a submersible load-out / recovery barge (≈ 7, 500t of steel).
Onshore Works
Construction of steel working facility - 120m x 130m x 24.24m, pipe & electrical workshops, blast & paint cells, engineering shops, production services, maintenance workshops, amenities, emergency services, warehouses, water tanks, compressor houses, mobile shelters, multi floor office buildings, camps, roads and reinforced concrete paving. The Ship Construction Facility consists of Construction Hall - 270m x 95.83m x 49.59m Super Yacht Hall -180m x 100m x 53.37m, Assembly Shop and Depot Stores. Extensive MEP distribution systems: substations, energy center, compressed air, fire water, potable water, ballast water, oxygen, LPG, acetylene, argon, carbon dioxide, chilled water, etc. Installation of complex production, tower cranes, jib cranes, overhead cranes and different kind of machineries
