Head of Engineering

at BAE Systems
Location : Saudi Arabia - Riyadh
After a successful and challenging time in the RSAF, I have decided to move to the private sector as early as possible. To enhance my understanding of being a supplier instead of government customer and to utilize my previous experience in supporting the other government agencies.
I have worked as the Head of Air sector, which means that all the projects related to airborne vehicles must go through my section for approval. The approval was part from the BAE life cycle management system, and I represent BAE System Saudi Arabia as the point of contact with the main company (Warton UK) and the Head office in London to seek their approval for any project value beyond our limit. I was reviewing each project from the definition concept until the bid stage to ensure the company is protected by understanding the company capability in fulfilling its commitment to the customer. I have worked closely with starting of preparing the budget of the next 5 years for the SBDCP and part from BAE ISR new team. As an initiative, I sponsored the young employees and graduates to coach them and give them training and information’s from my experience.

In 2008 I was tasked to represent the RSAF in the Typhoon Production line (at Warton UK for 1 year) and accept the RSAF Aircrafts, I had the chance to be trained with the UK MOD to accept the RAF aircrafts also.
After that I was moved to RSAF HQ to establish the RSAF Engineering Authority Capability (Utilizing RAF experience), along with the team we established the process and procedures and launched the first operations on Typhoon under RSAF responsibility and Risk to enhance its operational capability (Prepare Typhoon for the QRA)
During my period in the RSAF HQ, I have participated in drafting the Statement of requirements (SOR) and reviewing the (SOW) from the suppliers for various projects, by acting as the point of contact and coordinating the requirements with the other RSAF agencies and suppliers.
