Roles and responsibilities
❖ Development and implementation of the projects Environmental Management Strategy, developing plans, procedures, and procedural guidance for the effective application of sound environmental management
practice.
❖ Review ESIA and CSEMP of the Projects and provide technical inputs.
❖ Responsible to include Environmental and social-related protocols in prequalification documents, bidding documents, Technical and Financial Proposals.
❖ Oversee the aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem against stress during construction.
❖ Conducting and supervising Environmental Monitoring activities.
❖ Implementing CSEMP and providing guidance on local Environmental regulations.
❖ Generating daily, weekly, and monthly environmental reports.
❖ Generating environmental action plans for any new issue raised that is not covered in the CSEMP.
❖ Running monitoring programs for air quality, noise, aquatic and weather, and preparing the related
charts and reports which can be presentable to management.
❖ Periodic Inspection of batching plants, and camps for Environmental Compliance.
❖ Plan, coordinate, and administration of short-term and long-term plans for the environmental program, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
❖ Develop and deliver presentations on trend and training basis on different topics like Construction projects
environmental management, General environmental inductions, aquatic and terrestrial spill response, safe refueling practices, General waste management, Food waste management, Waste segregation, Environment friendly machinery/equipment maintenance, POL/chemical spill awareness, storage of
chemicals, Pollution prevention etc.

❖ Supporting environmental assessment preparation, review, and monitoring and evaluation. Ensuring
compliance.
❖ Assessing environmental and social impacts of planned or ongoing development activities.
❖ Advising on steps and actions to mitigate potential or existing negative impacts of development activities.
❖ Develop and implement an Environmental audit plan with a scope that monitors compliance to all applicable environmental regulations, contractual requirements and the ESIA.
❖ Responsible for internal environmental reporting (Weekly, Monthly, Incidents) and external
environmental reporting.
❖ Create and distribute a monthly environmental audit report to deliver project status reports and help drive continuous improvement.
