• Prepare and revise the annual budget with Program Managers and the Management; make budget
plans as per IWA and donors' requirements and procedures.
• Check the bills, receipts and invoices and other required supporting documents properly and make
sure it is according to IWA financial policy and procedure.
• Make sure that a proper and well-organized financial filing system is in place.
• Do the tax payments to relevant Government authorities and make sure it is done on time.
• Maintain and reconcile a proper general ledger.
• Ensure that all the transactions are entered and recorded into Quick Books in a systematic manner.
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets and financial statements.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Provide written and verbal translation for all financial documents as required.
• Participate and lead in drafting financial management procedures, policies and processes.
• Make sure that finance department is established and run in a transparent, organized and professional manner, and in accordance with the IWA financial policy and procedures.
• Coordinate with Head of Departments and concerned pillar-managers in terms of monthly budget
forecast and other expenses required for different projects; ensure that expenses are made
following the approved monthly expenditure forecasts.


• Ensure the risks concerning cash management, data protection, fraud, abuse and mismanagement
are constantly maintained low.
• Train the finance assistants and any other staff members in budgeting, financial reporting and management, accounting and cash management.
• Assist the Director for any other administrative work whenever required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Director.

industry organization in Afghanistan by the donors and MAIL, which led us toward getting a Gold Medal in IITF (International India Trade Fair) 2010 among 29 countries.
