DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop HSE Plan for the organization.
• Develop, review and revise risk assessment.
• Maintaining an audit trail of all H&S documents assisting in the documentation of contractual agreements with third party organizations.
• Ensuring COSHH compliance is maintained.
• Maintain direct liaison with city, state, and federal agencies to ensure compliance with safety and health codes, standards, or regulations.
• Regular site/factory inspections.
• Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing regulatory and compliance data and trends.
• Attends relevant HSE Committee meetings
• Coordinate and monitor the ‘Permit to Work’ system
• Promoting the safe method of carrying out the work in the site/ factory.
• Conduct induction for new recruit.
• Conducts daily toolbox meeting to all workers on site/factory.
• Checks that hired plant is safe and the copies of current test certificates including operator’s certificate are available.
• Give all Foremen and leading hands precise instructions on their responsibilities for proper working methods; see that they do not require or permit men to take unnecessary risk.
• Ensuring compliance with all current legislation, codes of practice and relevant standards.
• Lead a team of safety officers.
• Serving as the first responder to and investigator of safety incidents and mishaps.
• Maintaining updated HSE records.
• Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly and safely.
• Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing regulatory and compliance data and trends.
• Making regular site inspections.
• Producing concise reports for managers on Health and Safety matters.
• Advising Managers, colleagues of safe working practices.
• Carrying out safety inspections.
• Performing root cause analysis for incident/accident investigations.
• Preparing Risk Assessment.
• Keeping up to date with all new legislation & development in H&S and advising the business of any changes.
• Carrying out site safety inductions identifying staff training requirements.
• Maintaining an audit trail of all H&S documents assisting in the documentation of contractual agreements with third party organizations.
• Ensuring COSHH compliance is maintained.
• Develop safety health policies
• Preparing Risk Assessment.
• Drafts safety and health codes and work procedures
• Coordinates safety and health programs and policies with other related departments
• Maintain direct liaison with city, state, and federal agencies to ensure compliance with safety and health codes, standards, or regulations.
• Advices major departments and academic units on safety and health aspects of instructional materials and equipments
• Coordinates active efforts and plans to identify, isolate, or eliminate hazardous operations, materials, or processes
• Plans, organizes, directs, and participates in safety and health meetings, conferences, seminars, and training programs and safety and health committees
• Supervises assigned personnel
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Promote safety to all levels of employees by holding safety promotion activities, safety campaigns, etc.
• Check that all machinery and plant, including power and hand tools, are maintained in good condition
• Preparing and submitting weekly safety report to the company of the Project/Safety manager in a specified form
• Attends relevant HSE Committee meetings
• Coordinate and monitor the ‘Permit to Work’ system
• Daily routine inspection on worksite before, during and after operations
• Promoting the safe method of carrying out the work in the construction site
• Conduct induction for new recruit.
