•Develop & implemented Equipment P.M. procedure log sheet, whenever found necessary.
•Executed various modification schemes/ job done with required Co-ordination & planning.
•Initiate procurement of supplies & ensure the availability of economical stock level for critical & running electrical spare through the on line SAP system.
•Responsible to ensure all the activity are carried out in a safe, timely, efficient & cost effective manner to maximize plant availability & reliability to meet smooth operation & to meet the PLANT load demand.
•Liaise with various departments, Service Company on issues related to electrical/Instrument plant/equipment maintenance & operation to identify maintenance requirement, resolve the hindrances & problem for smooth & timely maintenance.
•Review & recommend optimal Material/spare stock level based on last 3 to 5 years consumption pattern. Recommend interchangeability of spare parts wherever deemed necessary. As a Spare part control & optimization plan.
•Maintenance and Testing & commissioning of EHV, high voltage & low voltage switchgear, Transformers, motor control centers including bus ducts- C.T’s/VT’s Test, protective relays..etc.
•Testing of Transformers i.e. Ratio Test, IR, Vector group, Winding resistance, magnetic balance, Fan operation, oil B.D..ETC., switchgears - i.e. Thermography, cleaning, greasing, trial tripping, IR test, pickup, visual inspection, change over test, Timing test, contact resistance, Close/Trip coil pick up, …etc as per OEM recommendation., Motors, MCCs, UPS, Battery chargers, cables, Testing & setting of protective relays, Primary/Secondary Injection Test, High Voltage Test, ..etc..
•Obtaining work permits and safety permits and Permit to Work system, carried out safe work practices.
•Managing overall activities for erection and commissioning of a wide range of Electrical equipment’s .i.e. Switchgears, Transformers, Panels, UPS & Battery Chargers, control valve, Transmitter…etc.
•Coordinating with external agencies, clients & consultants for design, specs & change management.
•Verify material quantity take off and order the materials and equipment’s as per project requirement.
•Track the weekly and monthly progress reports, review the progress measurement sheets.

•Review and define contractor’s commissioning & start-up documents/procedures for electrical activities. Manage the Control team and actively involve during commissioning & start-up activities & list out finding as a punch point. During Mechanical Completion walk downs as an expert and prepare a punch list.

I was looking after Train 1, 2 &3 related Electrical system maintenance & its spare Inventory requirement. It comprises ADMA -OPCO 3 Nos.Gas Turbine of 18.5 Mw each dual fuel Gas/Diesel oil fired & 2 Nos. Gas Turbine17.5 Gas & 24 Mw Gas/Oil fired. The 33/11/3.3/0.415 Kv substation comprises the 25 Mva, 33/11 KV Transformer, 33&11Kv \[SF6\]CB, 3.3 Kv Vacuum CB, & 415 v Air CB. Battery charger /UPS, Motors etc.
Key Deliverables:-
•Identifies immediate and future maintenance & spares requirements, during overhaul and replacement of equipment, resulting from down days, Shutdowns, routine daily discussions with operation & area maintenance team leader.

Nature of Work:-
During first phase of RAF B station it built with 1280 Mw power at 15.75 Kv system on base
load. RAF B plant has 8Nos.of ABB make GT13E2 machine out of which 6 nos. are connected
to 220 kV grid Via 220 kV GIS S/S and 2 nos. can be connected either 132 kV grid or 220 kV
grid via 3 winding inter bus transformer.
The entire plant is controlled through process DCS / Electrical DCS / Local control system.
I was involved right from construction stage to the final Testing & commissioning of the plant. Here at QEWC I was looking after all site testing commissioning, planning and maintenance, condition Monitoring, activity of G.T.13E2 machine, Battery Charger, UPS various control system and Protection relays\[O/C, E/F, O/V, U/V, Diff., Motor Prot.Dist. Prot., i.e. REL561, REL521, REB551..SPAJ & SPAU ..series ABB made Numeric relay, …ect.\], D.G.Sets, Automatic Voltage Regulator, Static Frequency Converter, CO2 Fire Alarm and Detection System, CH4 and H2S Detection System, 220kV Gas Insulated Sub-Station, Transformer, 132kV Switchyard, C.B., Motors, CT/PT, ..etc. in the plant.
