Project Details: Business Intelligence Group (BIG) is the data warehousing group of PTG, which is the nerve center for storing and making that critical, and sensitive business data visible to various business users. This critical and sensitive data is received from various publishing groups within Pearson Education (PE). It is a central point where large amount of disparate data of various publishing groups/ companies (Higher Education, K12, Professional, PGI) and from different business functions of Pearson is collated. Using data warehousing technologies, it is then cleansed and transformed for consistency based on various business rules incorporated and distributed to different downstream applications (Data Marts), which are logical subsets of the complete data warehouse. End users refer to these applications and derive insightful information for their analytical needs though advanced analytical reporting tools.
