Appointed as Internal ISO Auditor for Al Ain campus. Certified IELTS writing examiner. Ran Toastmasters Youth Leadership Programs at local secondary schools as part of Chancellor's Innovation Award. Co-organized IELTS-centered conference. Mentored different groups of university students participating in local + regional speech + debate competitions. Taught Business Communication Skills, General English, IELTS, TOEFL courses. Oversaw a Cultural Exchange Program, Summer Camp for Gifted Emirati Middle School children + Emiratization Training Program.
Consolidated two different ESP Shari'ah courses (one of them academic) into one communicative course. Prepared a 100-page coursebook of adapted readings (crime stories). Prepared all written and listening exams, item analyses and related reports. Also taught ESP for Engineering, ESP for Humanities and ESP for Employment Purposes. In addition, served as a one-man ESP Social Committee for three years; replaced by five teachers in 2003.
Trained 100 - 140 employees (engineers, technicians, lab operators, salesmen, accountants) per quarter in general and work-related communication skills programs. Also arranged 6 - 9 month overseas training scholarships / internships for up to 45 employees per year. Regularly conducted Business Communication Skills + Technical Writing + TOEFL Prep workshops. Coordinated secretarial trainee summer programs in Riyadh, Jeddah and Yanbu. Designed a program around the Family Album multimedia series at SABIC HQ.
Taught General English to civil servants.
