Al Futtaim Carillion has an in house MEP department executing design & built contract jobs, specialist temporary power design with 110V power supply for construction purpose.
To develop / review the electrical system design, including calculations, quantity takes off and cost estimation.
To perform electrical load calculations as per local authority and international standards and develops appropriate system concepts and layouts.
Review / preparing shop drawings, product submittals and participate in research for material/product selection.
To carry out breaker sizing, cable sizing based on voltage drop calculation and short circuit current calculation, load schedules, electrical circuiting etc as per local authority standards.
Carry out lighting calculation using Dialux for design and built jobs.
Coordinate with other disciplines and manages timely delivery of shop drawings and material submittals.
Co ordination with DEWA to obtain the necessary NOCs.
Instruct CAD operators in all project related matters & responsible for checking for all CAD works done.
Raising Request for Information on design clarifications.
Preparing the BOQ based on tender issued drawings and specifications
Reviewing of different quotes from different supplier / subcontractor and preparing comparison sheet based on the quotation received.
Design power farm for construction infrastructure with Auto synchronized diesel generator to reduce the fuel consumption and carbon foot prints / Local Supply i.e. from permanent power grid.
Electrical building service design from concept design through to construction issue.
Design of lighting & emergency lighting layout for the required lighting level, as per CIBSE standards using electrical lighting software Dialux & Relux.
Design of Small power layouts.
Design of Emergency Central Battery System & space allocation for CBS Room.
Design of fire alarm system for various type of buildings and structures for protection of property as well as protection of life or for both and identify the type of detection suited for each application, design and specify the systems to increase the probability of early detection and extinction of fire.
Low voltage power distribution system design including power and distribution transformer sizing, circuit breaker selection, circuit protection and cable sizing with respect to voltage drop calculation and short circuit current carrying capacity.
Distribution system for general lighting, small power & preparing load distribution schedules.
Preparing drawings for drafting by in-house CAD team.
Instruct CAD operators in all project related matters and responsible for checking all CAD operations done.
Attend weekly internal design progress meetings.
Coordinate with structural, architectural & mechanical departments to finalize the design.
Manage own work load to deliver the work on time.
