Marketing Assistant at Raya
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • August 2008 to October 2008

During my second training as a marketing assistant I worked on two main things; first was I was
mostly responsible for the company’s internal magazine. I researched topics, translated documents,
chose background themes, and collected info needed for subjects like “employee of the month”
Second, I was responsible for client database update -along with my two other colleagues-; I had a
list of VIP clients and called each and everyone of them to update their info on the company’s
database excel sheet.
Working at the magazine taught me responsibility since the magazine had to reflect the company’s
excellent image. I also learned about myself that I could work under pressure.
Working at the database update taught me patience, and that no matter how rude the client was I had
to maintain my posture and professionalism.

Administrative Assistant at Nordix
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • June 2006 to September 2006

During my first training as an administrative assistant (Personal assistant) I was assigned to various
tasks that included; planning meetings’ dates, calling clients, making sure conference rooms where
available at meeting times, making travel arrangements, answering phones, scheduling
appointments and organizing files.
This training made me understand that the key to excellence is great attitude.
I learned how to be flexible and organized. I also learned how to work well with different level of
management, staff and outside clients.
Moreover, this training helped me build a level of interpersonal and communication skills that is
adequate enough to get me through the real world of administrative work

Education

Bachelor's degree, Marketing
  • at Arab Academy for Science and Technology
  • January 2011

During my studies at the AAST, I have worked on various researches and projects. In those projects I have conducted marketing research and planning. Throughout that, my group and I conducted real life surveys and turned it into SPSS, compared products and rival brands, surveyed and charted, studied consumer behavior, and presented the whole thing. This taught me how to exactly study how consumers behave and feel about certain products and/or services, and how to fully understand what they want and deliver it to them. I learned not only to make the consumer happy, but delighted and stunned. I also learned that the delivery of the product is not the final step, there is never a final step; building and maintaining the relationship with the consumer is key to success. In another project, my team and I invented a product and marketed for it from A to Z; we researched and analyzed the market for our product, created the vision and mission statement, targeted and segmented, studied the competition, created long and short term objectives. In the final part we applied strategies that included; positioning, pricing, distribution, promotions, and public relations. After we finished the entire plan needed, we were ready to launch our product successfully This has all given me a sense of what real life work is like, also a firm base that is adequate enough to give me the confidence to start my career and succeed in it.
