Reporting to the Director of Delivery Effectiveness, I provide consultancy and development services for clients in various industries across
the MENA region, including:
• Leveraging clients’ Change Management initiatives through driving the organization’s culture change and the individuals’ behavioral development, towards achieving the desired performance excellence.
• Designing and delivering solutions in performance effectiveness, productivity, management and leadership.
• Supporting the Business Development team in promoting solutions portfolio; as well as growing the client base.
• Assessing and certifying facilitators in certain disciplines.
• Representing the organization in regional events as a keynote speaker.
Reporting to the Managing Director, I was responsible for managing the strategic and operational dimensions of the business in the UAE branch, including the following successful key achievements:
• Business development, budget reconciliation and other forecasting/planning activities.
• Planning, developing and implementing HR Strategies for organisations of various sizes and lines of business, including Job Analysis, Job Evaluation, Grading & Levelling, Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Induction Program, Learning & Development, Performance Management, Career Development, Policies & Procedures and Assessment Centres.
• Building a network of strategic alliances, business partners and consultants.
• Establishing the new Learning & Development function to complete the group’s portfolio of human development services.
• Responsible to the Vice President Flight Operations for maintaining a high level of safety standards through effective communication and awareness
• Define, with aircraft manufacturers and vendors, cabin features on new aircraft, while developing existing products.
• Work with Airbus on the development of cabin features for the A380 aircraft
• Liaise with the UAE-General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) as well as other bodies (i.e. internal and external audits, aircraft and equipment manufacturers / vendors, other airlines and aviation entities, etc…) with regards to cabin related standards
• Represent Etihad Airways in the IATA Cabin Safety Task Force (CSTF)
• Formulate safety policies and procedures
• Lead teams of “Quality Auditors”, conducting station audits across the Etihad network
• Represented Etihad Airways to internal and external audits related to cabin operation
• Establish and manage the Etihad Airways Training Academy
• Recruit and develop the start-up team of the Etihad Airways Training
• Manage the rapidly growing training requirements for Etihad Airways with a team of 3 managers, 25 training professionals and 2 administrators, in the areas of Safety, Security, Health and Human Factors
• Identify training needs and propose training solutions within budgetary limits
• Generate revenue by selling training courses to third party
• Develop and maintain initial, recurrent and Ad Hoc training for Operations staff
• Design, develop and deliver training as well as other relevant training material
• Design, develop and deliver various courses for aircrew (i.e. Safety, Security and Human Factors)
• Manage monthly training calendar for internal as well as third party training course
• Adapt the corporate competency framework to the suit the training requirements
• Lead successfully a team of 15 training professionals
• Coach and guide junior training professional and new joiners
• Maintain discipline and provide competency based performance appraisal for staff
• Responsible to the in-flight services management for all aspects of safety, security, product and service on board narrow and wide-bodied aircraft, for short, medium and long haul flights
• Manage ever changing teams of multi-cultural cabin crews, including supervising and maintaining discipline, standard of dress and operational performance of all grades
• Safeguard company image and ensure the delivery of the highest levels of safety, security and customer satisfaction
• Deliver various courses for aircrew (i.e. Safety, Security and Human Factors) in class as well as on the job
• Design tailored tours and provide respective quotations to European and Japanese travel agencies, for VIP, individuals and large groups of tourists
• Coordinate hotel reservations, transportation, site seeing and arrange special events
• Accompany VIP, individuals and large groups of tourists throughout their trip
• Conduct seminars and lectures about Ancient & Contemporary Egyptian Civilisation
• Delivered company standard of safety, security, product and service on board narrow and wide-bodied aircraft, for short, medium and long haul flights
