This airport will be located near Jizan Economic City in Saudi Arabia and have capacity to handle 2.4 million passengers a year. Construction of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Airport comprising a three-storey passenger terminal, a control tower, air cargo zones and other facilities. Scope of work includes construction of: - An air traffic control tower - A hangar - Air cargo zones - Fire extinguishing and rescue buildings - Maintenance buildings - Service facilities - 10 gates and a VIP lounge Design of the airport.
Responsibilities / Duties :
Prepare and monitor the implementation of Method Statements & ITP to ensure all works are compliance with requirements, and that all necessary quality records are generated in a timely & correct manner (concrete design mix, specification & standards).
Monitor and Inspect soil and ground improvement work activity from earthworks, stone column, and rapid dynamic or impact compaction.
Monitor and Inspect concrete works activity (Bridge, Buildings & bored pile work).
Review, submit & monitor all third-party laboratory test report for ground improvement work (FDT, Plate Load Test, & Pre / Post CPT) to the Consultant.
Coordinate and witness all material test (soil, coarse aggregates, concrete material (fresh & harden, asphalt) with 3rd party on site and laboratory.
Review, submit & monitor all material test report to the consultant (soil, fresh & harden concrete, reinforcement steel & others).
Prepare work inspection request, & material inspection request and others.
Prepare & perform any task given by the QA/QC Manager.

Residential Building (Tunneling System) and Villas, out of these commercial facilities such as Mosque and other facilities; the project value was 881 Million USD.
Liaise and coordinate with Independent Testing Laboratory, and 3rd Party Inspection Company (where employed) at site.
Monitor the implementation of Method Statements and ensure all works are compliance with requirements, and that all necessary quality records are generated in a timely manner for all works in their area of assigned responsibility.
Assist, where required, a Team in undertaking periodic Internal or External audits, in particular technical audits in their field of specialization.

The residential buildings will be built to achieve LEED Silver ratings under the LEED for Homes rating system from USGBC, USA. In addition to the construction of the buildings and structures, Scope of Work includes construction of the perimeter retaining walls, sewer treatment plant, water treatment plant, main access road and wadi bridges (vehicular & pedestrian), secondary bridges & culverts, as well as all infrastructure, hard and soft landscaping works in Phase 1 area.
