• Supervise the input and handling of financial data, generating reports and overseeing the work of other staff and prepare KPI reports. for employee’s transactions.
• Prepare and maintain the financial reports, including trial balance, revenue, operating and capital expenditure and liability accounts.
• Maintain integrity of Accounting system (software - “Oracle ERP”), ensuring it remains effective and operational always.
• Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations for the Manager’s review and taking necessary actions to resolve inconsistencies or refer to the relevant personnel.
• Ensuring the accounting procedures followed are in accordance with the standards and guidelines prescribed by the Department of Finance.
• Ensure that the accounts are compiled for the project and expenses every end of the month and at the end of the financial year and update “chart of accounts” monthly to reflect account management activities.
• Manage the work and development of staff members by setting development program and supervise implementation.
• Making sure that all requests received from Department of Finance is complied with and completed on time.
• Maintenance of Cash Ledger on a monthly Basis i.e. once the accrual books are closed, making sure that the Cash Ledger is reconciled and closed.
• Validate all system transactions, changes and updates in the system to ensure compliance and completeness of accounts.
• Develop accounting, financial management policy to ensure accurate information for top management in decision making & to apply strict internal controls.
• Develop measures to detect, isolate and improve system problems.
• Identify the risk accuracy in the section and update the profile and recommend the best solution to reduce the risk as per RTA matrix.
• Working closely with all internal teams on the accuracy of other Systems within RTA group; Examples - Maximo, RMS, UAFC, Contracts Systems etc.
• Maintaining books of accounts up to finalization in a timely and accurate manner
• Managing 3 offices, on a financial level - dubai, riyadh and qatar
• Maintaining close contacts with the international clients (microsoft, nokia, zain nigeria etc..) and understanding their requirements and acting accordingly
• Ensuring accuracy of the figures for sales and gross profit on monthly basis and cross-checking the same with targets set.
• Ensuring that purchasing contracts and arrangements are fulfilled in strict accordance with legal requirements, project requirements, and business policies and procedures
• Coordination on supplier setups and better cost management based on requirements.
• Building a contact point and communication link for the project manager, the senior management team, the sponsor, and rest of the stakeholders.
• Manage 7 direct reports. Includes training, mentoring, and yearly reviews.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate month/quarter/year end closings. Includes the review and approval of all journal entries, sub-ledger postings tie out, depreciation, inter-company invoicing, inter-company reconciliations, account reconciliations for 8 entities (United Arab Emirates, Turkey, South Africa, …..).
• Responsible for all statutory reporting and audits for all 8 entities.
• Provide guidance on pricing projects for the Financial Analyst.
• Lead team member for the testing and implementation of Oracle projects (9 month project).
• Ensure that company shared services for treasury, fixed assets, receivables, accounts payables and related administrative functions run in accordance with company policy and statutory requirements.
• Setting up and streamlining the accounting processes for the Team as a whole. Conducting testing for SOX (404) and internal controls to maintain proper financial controls and compliance with corporate policies and US GAAP standards.
• Preparing and reviewing detailed Budgets for Revenue and Expenditure, including detailed analysis and explanations on budget variances.
• Lead the development of internal processes and controls to safeguard the company's assets
• Manage the statutory, governmental and taxation reporting and compliance for all 8 legal entities.
• Monthly, quarterly and year-end financial, management and tax reporting for 8 entities.
• Monitor and report on cash-flow and all cash-related activities weekly with corporate Treasury.
• EMEA point of contact for all Corporate requests.
• Maintaining books of accounts up to finalization in a timely and accurate manner.
• Liaising with media / production department to ensure accuracy of data
• Day to day follow up on collections from debtors and updating the payment records
• Coordination on supplier setups and better cost management based on requirements
• Preparation of invoices, client quotes and LPOs
• Handling sales and cost in relation production department
• providing complete support to the Production Manager in getting supplier quotes.
• Managing the department highhandedly in the absence of the department manager
• Active decision making based on Pricing and quality of the products supplied.
