• Supervise the input and handling of financial data, generating reports and overseeing the work of other staff and prepare KPI reports. for employee’s transactions.
• Prepare and maintain the financial reports, including trial balance, revenue, operating and capital expenditure and liability accounts.
• Maintain integrity of Accounting system (software - “Oracle ERP”), ensuring it remains effective and operational always.
• Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations for the Manager’s review and taking necessary actions to resolve inconsistencies or refer to the relevant personnel.
• Ensuring the accounting procedures followed are in accordance with the standards and guidelines prescribed by the Department of Finance.
• Ensure that the accounts are compiled for the project and expenses every end of the month and at the end of the financial year and update “chart of accounts” monthly to reflect account management activities.
• Manage the work and development of staff members by setting development program and supervise implementation.
• Making sure that all requests received from Department of Finance is complied with and completed on time.
• Maintenance of Cash Ledger on a monthly Basis i.e. once the accrual books are closed, making sure that the Cash Ledger is reconciled and closed.
• Validate all system transactions, changes and updates in the system to ensure compliance and completeness of accounts.
• Develop accounting, financial management policy to ensure accurate information for top management in decision making & to apply strict internal controls.
• Develop measures to detect, isolate and improve system problems.
• Identify the risk accuracy in the section and update the profile and recommend the best solution to reduce the risk as per RTA matrix.
• Working closely with all internal teams on the accuracy of other Systems within RTA group; Examples - Maximo, RMS, UAFC, Contracts Systems etc.
