Job/Duty:
To handle and coordinate with GC Safety Team of approximately 11 Nos that including Sr. Safety Expert and Safety Section Engineers of different consortium as General Consultants pertaining to Aecom, Systra & CEG Client & Contractor Safety Team
To coordinate with GC PD, DPD, CRE, RE, Other Experts, as well Client MD, Director Projects, GM Safety, CPM & other stake holders and Contractors awarded for Via-Duct, Stations, Shaft, Tunnel, Commercial Complex, Depot, Tracks & Other System Contractors.
To ensure for the implementation of “Condition of Contract”, National & International National Safety Standards and Statutory requirements by the Contractors with a prime moto for Incident/Accident-free sites.
To ensure for the submittal of all Safety/Legally required documents by the Contractors and approve/reject/advising for the resubmissions etc. To prepare a common Safety Management System Manual, Check Lists / Formats, SOP, Guidelines, and ensure high standards of Safety System and Culture been religiously maintained and executed throughout the sites.
To approve 3rd Party Agencies for External Audits, Trainings, Competencies & Certifications etc after ensuring the credentials. And ensure Contractors approaching for the approved agencies only.
To conduct Monthly Audit Rate Scoring & give Star Rating for the Contractors and recommend the client to hold money for the Contractors not complying and getting the required Score defined in the COC.
To participate in joint site visits, doing surprise site visits, participating
whilst client key personnel & stake holders site visits, weekly progress
reviews (GC & Contractors), witnessing contractor’s Safety Committee
Meeting etc.
To issue NCR, Impose Penalty, etc for repeated non-compliance and as
well to stop activities which are imminent danger.
To ensure for Zero Incident and Accident till completion in line with
BS 6164, local statutory standards and client’s COC.
To coordinate and liaise with Project Team and other Stake Holders.
To administratively report PD and functionally to EHS IC Head.
To handle a group of around 60 personnel that includes Sr.HSE
Managers, Junior HSE Managers, Safety Supervisors, Environmental
Manager & Sub Staff, Traffic Manager, Barricading Manager, House
Keeping Manager, Full time Doctors Day & Night and Paramedics.
To ensure for preparation of EHS Plan, CEMP. SOP, SWI,
Emergency & Contingency Plan, Heat Stress Plan, Welfare Plan,
Health Plan, Waste Management Plan & Traffic Management Plan etc.
and physically ensure at site and labor camps.
To conduct and assist whilst Daily, Weekly and Monthly site visits along
with internal and external audits and Monthly Audit Score Rate Audit.
To ensure safety for all high-risk activities and safety required at
Station Box, Cross Passages and Tunnel.
To ensure safety personnel Communication System, Fire Fighting
System, ERP Team, SCBA, Gas Monitoring Detectors, Dry & Wet
Bulbs to ensure heat, Adequate Ventilation System etc.
To organize Internal Safety Committee Meetings and attend for client’s
weekly and Monthly Safety Meetings.
To record and review all Incidents / Accidents, Near Miss Cases and
First Aid Cases.
To take care of 7 Underground Metro Station Buildings along with Tunnel Works & Casting Yard.
To Co-Ordinate wit Line Management, Site Execution & Safety Personnel, Client, Consultant & Subcontractors.
To report Project Director and functionally report corporate Safety Head.
To conduct In-house training, external training, safety meetings.
To prepare documents and submit.
To inspect site and maintain daily observation track sheet, weekly joint site inspections, monthly rate scoring audit and also to assist during internal and external audits.
To record and review Incidents by route cause.
Worked for different project mainly of RTA Tunnel Project with a project cost of 700 Million Dinars in Dubai.
To handle 12 KMS Via-Duct, Stations Buildings, Car Depot, Tracks, OHE lines, Signaling ect Metro Rail construction phase Build Operate Own & Transfer US $ 1600 plus project.
To report Project Director and functionally report Additional Vice President Safety.
To coordinate Line Management, Safety Personnel, Consultant, Contractors, liaise with govt officials.
To conduct In house and external training.
To review contractor's documents and approve.
To conduct in house and contractor's safety committee meetings.
To conduct monthly rate scoring audit.
To witness external audits.
To investigate Incidents and review.
To recommend awards to those complying Condition of Contract and safety plan.
To recommend penalty for those not complying Condition of Contract and BOCWA/BOCWR.
To handle 5 kms Via-Ducl including 3 Station Buildings Metro Rail Project costing US $ 150 Million plus.
To co ordinate with Line Management, Safety Personnel, Client, Consultant and Sub-Contractors.
To report to Project General Manager.
