To ensure high standards of Safety during the construction phase of 3 Under Ground Stations Buildings, Tunneling, Casting Yard, Bathing Plant & Labour Camps In line with in time progress along with less insurance premiums &penalties. And ensure Safety Induction to new crafts and visitors/stake holders.
Following Condition of Contract, BOCW Acts and Rules 1996 & 1998, OSHA standards,
National Building Codes 2005 & NFPA 502 Standards, CPCB rules and other relevant statutory rules
and legal requirements applicable. And BS 6164 Tunnels standards.
To Liaise with Client, Consultant, Govt Officials, Management and all concern department personnel.
To report Project Director functionally and Corporate Safety Head administratively.
Preparation of Safety plan, CEMP, Health Plan, Fire Plan, Emergency Management & Contingency Plan, Traffic Management Plan, HIRA, SOP, SWI, and submit the same and obtain client approval and review.
To ensure for In house and external Trainings in line with training matrix and training calendar.
To review the legal documents submitted by Sub-Contractors and also to ensure the competencies.
To ensure for ZAP and present during high risk activities like Mining works, Lifting and Height works.
To organize monthly Safety Committee Meetings and submit Safety & Environmental report to concern.
To record and investigate all Incidents, Near Miss, Property Damages and review HIRA time to time
To assist during Monthly Mars Audit Scoring and as well during Internal & External Audits and review
Preparing & Reviewing HSE Plans & Objectives/ Task based risk assessments / Job Safety Analysis / Job Hazard Analysis. Emergency evacuation plans & Disaster Management plan.
Conducting Site Inspection / Internal Audits / Developing & Imparting Trainings/ Organizing Safety committee meetings/Preparing HSE reports & statistics maintaining with updated HSE records.
Preparing EIA assessment / WMP and taking adequate measures to restrict Occupational related diseases.
Giving Safety Inductions to the new entrants / Witnessing and giving TBT / Ensuing PTW for high risk activities like working at height, lifting, hot works, confined space, Geo technical works, piling works, deep excavations, LOTO / Scaff Tag. Ensuring Competencies of the drivers / operators / contractors. Ensuring 3rd Party certificates for all lifting equipments and tools and tackles.
Preparing estimation for Certification / Training / PPE during BOQ etc.
Well conversant with IMS ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001:2007 ISO EMS 14001:2004, BOCWA/R, BIS Codes & NBC. NFPA / BS and Middle East legal law / statutory requirements / Liaison with Govt departments.
To minimize the insurance premiums/legal penalties. And uninterrupted progress with zero Incidents / Accidents/ Loss prevention / Safe man hours in a reasonably practicable level.
Recommending penalties for the repeated noncompliance’s / rewards for safety adherence.
Project: Mumbai Metro (Mass Rapid Transportation System)
Project Value: More than 600 million US dollars
Scope: Construction of 12 kms via duct, stations, depot. Build Own Operate & Transfer after 35 yrs to state governament.
To ensure contractors follwing SMS and condition of contracts.
To report project director.
To organise external training prorammes to contractors.
To ensure contractors conducting awaraness programmes according to the guidelines of condition of contract.
To organise safety awards to contractors
To penalize contractors for the non compliances.
To update all new legislations and following local staturtory requirements.
