Synopsis Kindle Automated Test System, developed by amazon development center using python scripts to automate the manual test cases and evaluate the performance of kindle devices.

Responsibilities:

• Execute python scripts to verify the performance of the kindle device software according to the test plan
• Verify automation results and file the defects under Jira bug tracker
• Setting up the test environment for the execution of the python scripts
• Follow agile method on weekly basis to evaluate the build performance
• Analysing the results according to the performance benchmarks and reporting it to the respective stakeholders
• Reduced team manual efforts through automation
• Responsible for full project inflow and outflow
• Supporting the development team for reproducing the jira issues filed
• Responsible for the devices available in the team. Should track the devices used by the team on daily basis and maintain record
• Provide Knowledge Transfer to team on new features/updated projects

Synopsis Kindle Touch is an Electronic Book Reader developed by amazon by which books can be downloaded. Amazon Kindle devices enables the users to shop for download, browse, and Read E-Books, Newspapers, Magazines, Blogs and other Digital Media via wireless networking

Responsibilities:

• Write manual test cases for functionality and performance testing based on the requirements
• Execute functional and performance test cases of kindle device software
• Get trained on new features of the kindle software and prepare test cases and test data to execute it
• Prepare the test environments based on the test plans
• Smoke testing of the builds to accept it for regression
• Sanity testing for the bug fixes in the builds
• Carried out Regression and Repetitive Testing exercises to qualify builds
• Looked after the execution of performance test cases and tracked bugs accurately and analyzed the testing procedures
• Monitored the deviations in test plans and assisted in plan closures
• Audited the performance test case results and reported it to the stakeholders
• Ad hoc testing of the kindle software to find defects not covered under test cases
• Reported defects in JIRA bug tracker and assisted the development team in reproducing the defects and tracked until the bug gets fixed
