IMPORT:
Issuing of Purchase Orders to suppliers.
Handle Letter of Credits / shipping instructions to non LC suppliers.
Co-ordinate with shipping lines / forwarders to collect the freight rates and negotiate and finalise the shipping line / forwarder for each shipments.
Follow up with suppliers for documents & monitor incoming shipments for smooth delivery.
Ensure advance payment to the supplier is sent on timely basis
Ensure timely receipt of shipments as per Performa invoice / Purchase Order dates.
Release shipping documents from bank - LC / CAD.
Preparing Bill of Entries for Sea / Air shipments and FIRS for Food products to release shipments from Dubai Municipality.
Arranging transportation to deliver the container to respective warehouses and ensure the container is returned to port on time.
Co-ordinate with municipality authorities to inspect the products (DIP) and release the shipments without further delay.
Ensure the documents are submitted to Dubai Customs on time.
Clearance of Prohibit Sales from Municipality.
Arranging insurance coverage to all shipments.
Co-ordination with warehouse staff, Insurance Company and shipping company to arrange insurance surveys and lodging claim.
Follow up with suppliers on short / excess/ damages.
Ensure the payments are sent to suppliers / vendors on time. Follow up with the bank and get the necessary details of the payment and forward the same to the supplier.
New product Registration / Labels registration for Consumer products / Foods from Dubai Municipality.
Interact with Local Govt. bodies like Customs, Municipality, Chamber of Commerce, Port Authorities, Ministry Of Health, etc.
Finalising transporters for container movements.
Check Freight, Transport and insurance bills and approve.
Update various excel reports maintained for shipment follow-up and to ensure accuracy.
Manage a team of Professionals in the field of Logistics to act as a backbone for Sales. Conduct meeting, make appraisals, etc.
EXPORT:
Preparing Proforma Invoice, Invoice & Packing List.
Negotiate with shipping company / transporters for freight rates.
Preparing online request to Chamber of Commerce and arranging the Certificate of Origin.
Preparing online entry to Municipality for Health Certificate for food products.

INVENTORY:
Tracking and clearing the shipment through 3rd Party Logistics as per PO.

Reduced the operational cost by 25 to 30%
100% clearance of shipment on time and without any demurrage.
Converted the main shipments from C&F to FOB.
o Setting up the Distribution Centre / logistics division.

• Handled the Logistics / warehouse operations for NORTEL NETWORKS INDIA PVT LTD for Kerala / Andhrapradesh Circle. Handled a logistics team of 15 people with 55000 sft warehouse.

o Physical Receipt of Materials and updating in WMS / Excel.
o Issue of materials as per eDSi and updating the same in WMS / Excel.
o Responsible for collection of acknowledgement from BSNL and submission of the same to Nortel Networks.
o Co-ordination with BSNL / Nortel authorities for all Logistics / Supply Chain related queries.
o Controlling Operational Cost - like transportation, manpower, stationary, etc.
