Design, Development and Review of Electrical Drawings, Calculations of the Project
Scope
* Infrastructure Design:
* Load estimation based on load densities derived from SEC standard (DPS) of the built up area from the
Land Use Program of the respective project. Further designing of the MV loops leading to allocation of
Primary and Bulk substation as required based on SEC design practices. Preparing Medium and Low
voltage Single Line diagrams. Design of Low Voltage power distribution Network by LV cable sizing and
voltage drop calculations from substations to Feeder pillars and further feeder pillars to plots/KWHM.
Coordinating locations of Substations, Feeder pillars, External Panels, etc. with Architecture and
Landscape.
* Design of Infrastructure Telecom Network by Providing HDPE conduit in trench with man holes and hand
holes for Fiber optic routing based on STC design guidelines to each plot.
* Designing CCTV network for External sites considering proper field of view by providing suitable distance
between the cameras and the height of cameras.
* Low rise and High Rise building Design:
* Designing Power requirements and Energy Management Systems of Residential and commercial
buildings including Retail Malls, High Rise Towers and Five Star Hotels based on client
requirement/Operator Guide lines.
* The design practice follows sustainability and standards as mentioned but not limited to SBC, IEC, NFPA
and BS.
* Outlines design intent, requirements and objectives. Coordinates the project development and leads a
group of professionals.
* Determine all required design elements necessary for code compliance. Coordinate development of
work scopes and detailed technical specifications. Writes technical reports and provides solution to
complex technical problems.
* Calculation of Load, sizing of cables, short circuit calculation, voltage drop calculations and Power Factor
Correction calculation based on market renowned software like Ecodial or excel. Prepare and Develop
single line diagrams and schematic diagrams for Electrical Power system.
* Generator Sizing calculation based on Manufacture Software like Power Suite (Cummins).
* UPS sizing calculations and the required battery size calculations based on the ambient temperature,
heat dissipation altitude and other derating factors manually in excel.
* Design of Lighting Lux requirements based on the applicable standards like CIE and CIBSE by using
software’s like Dialux and Relux.
* Designing of Low current systems like Telephone, DATA, MATV/SMATV, Fire Alarm, Public address
system, Two way Communication System, BGM, Access Control (On Line/Off Line), Security System,
GRMS system based on TIA, NFPA, BS and local Municipality/Civil defence regulations. The design of
Telephone and data are based on latest technology like GPON and as well as traditional twisted pair
cables. Preparation of Single line diagrams for CCTV, Fire Alarm, MATV system, Public Address System,
Telecom & Data System and ACS System.
* Street Lighting and Tunnel Lighting:
* Classifying sections of street based on the category of the street according to BS EN 13201-1,
CIE115:110. Then calculating the street lighting in Dialux 4.12 to meet all the code requirements.
* Tunnels are classified based on the speed of the road and in different sections as mention in standard
CIE88 and further calculating in Relux to achieve the code requirements.

* Studying all the Tender documents, project specifications and special conditions (scope of work,
addendums etc.) received from client & consultant for respective projects.
* Outlines design intent, requirements and objectives. Coordinates the project development and leads a
group of professionals.
* Determine all required design elements necessary for code compliance. Coordinate development of
work scopes and detailed technical specifications.
* Design of MV power network of sites including routing cables and connections from and to package
substations. Design of low voltage (400/230V) Power Distribution System for residential housings and
facilities.
* Capable of performing full distribution system design including Low and Medium voltage networks,
Emergency and Critical load calculation studies, A/C loads, Fire Fighting loads, Elevators, Switch gears,
Emergency generator and U.P.S.
* Transformer KVA rating calculations according to the total Demand load considering the demand factor
required for the project. Perform Short circuit Calculations and Analysis, voltage drop calculations,
power cable calculations, circuit breaker rating calculations, load scheduling for panels and distribution
boards. Prepare and Develop single line diagrams and schematic diagrams for power system.
* Coordinate with other mechanical systems for the desired electrical loads of machines (pumps, air
handling units, package units etc.) and design the required breakers.
* Design of Lighting System and determine LUX levels for Residential buildings, ancillary buildings and
Street lighting for external road by Lighting Calculation Software DIALUX and RELUX.
* Design of Low Current Systems - CCTV, Telecom & Data Networks, MATV System, Public Address
System, Fire Alarm System and ACS system. Preparation of Single line diagrams for CCTV, Fire Alarm,
MATV system, Public Address System, Telecom & Data System and ACS System.
* Design of Grounding and Lightning Protection system for Residential housing and Facilities.
* Planning and execution of work flow to get the desired results for the completion of the projects and
Preparing documents of the projects including B.O.Q
Projects Handled:
* Ministry of Interior South Border Housing Project (SBH), KSA -
The project consists of 10 sites with residential housing facilities. Each Site contains Apartments +
Villas+ Girls & Boys schools + Sporting club House + Main Masjid + Clinics + Shopping Centres + Military
Police Building + Service Buildings + Ware house and Work shop stores + Fuel Station + Sewage
Treatment Plants and Guard Buildings.
* Ministry of Interior Eastern Border Housing Project (EBH), KSA -
This project is identical to SBH project with small amendments.

Development of Shop Drawings, As Built Drawings and Calculations of Project Scope.
* Worked as an electrical engineer capable of preparing shop drawings, single line diagrams, coordination
drawings and bill of quantities.
* Responsible for submitting the Drawing Submittals to the consultant for approval and follow up with
Consultant/Client for material/design/shop drawing approvals.
* Follow up with procurement Department for material submittals and pricing in coordination with the
supplier
* Responsible for any site related design and execution issues and visiting project sites for checking the
work execution based on design.
* Monitoring the progress against the approved plans bringing to notice potential problems or delays.
