My responsibilities includes:
External Audit/Financial Audit:
- Planning and execution of audit (as per the requirements of International Standards on Auditing as applicable in Pakistan).
- Developing the audit strategy including designing and application of audit procedures for various clients.
- Assessment of business and audit risks.
- Leading teams through the planning, execution and finalization stages of audit, validation of financial statements (as per the requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulator).
- Co-ordination with professionals of various professions like legal, tax, actuary and IT experts
- Reporting of significant issues to the management and decision making for resolution of critical reportable matters.
Internal Audit:
Performing various internal audit engagement including on-going monitoring of internal controls assignment of various clients under KPMG Methodologies.
- preparing audit plan based on risk assessment and formulating Internal Control benchmark using KPMG global guidelines, and COSO internal audit framework. Managing and leading the scoping, execution and delivery on a variety of internal audit engagements.
- preparing of presentations and assisting Partner and Senior Manager in presenting internal audit observations, improvement recommendations and relevant business impacts of such observations to the Board of Directors through Audit Committee;
- reviewing the status of compliance with the recommendations and report on it;
- responsible for engagement management and developing good working relationships with the clients to deliver engagement expectations, providing advisory and value added services in various aspects of business,
- provide input into resource planning and budgets;
- review of work performed and development and on-the-job training, counseling/coaching of the less experienced team members including their performance appraisal
