• Strong knowledge of VSE, DLP using McAfee Endpoint Full Disk Encryption, Endpoint Encryption for Files & Folders, Device Encryption, App control and Keys Management etc.
• Designing and implementing new system structures, monitoring servers activity and auditing server security
• Retina and other Vulnerability Scan for servers and desktops and patch status reporting.
• Performing Server backups using Symantec Backup Exec, VEEM and Windows Backup and restore where required.

Key Contributions:
• Established and upgraded (twice) the Microsoft Active Directory Domain/Forest including faculty/Staff and Student network. Cleaned up AD Database and organized OU’s using various AD tools like ADSI, ADBPA, NTDSUtil, DSAcls, Netdom, DFSUtil, GPO, Replmon & ACLdiag etc.
• Migrated Physical server infrastructure to efficient, high available and low cost virtual infrastructure based on Dell EqualLogic and NetApp SANs enabling provisioning and de-provisioning of virtual servers and applications in minutes.
• Consolidated hardware and simplified IT management, maintenance and deployment.
• Installed and upgraded (twice) Microsoft Exchange messaging system and deployed high available virtual mailbox servers providing access through HubCas to various clients like MAPI, OWA, Blackberry and ActiveSync. Configured supporting technologies like SSL, DAG, McAfee and Proofpoint Anti-Spam, Blackberry servers and Anti-Malware Servers for filtering and security. Also configured automatic Symantec backup of DAG databases for Disaster Recovery.
• Streamlined systems Inventory, patch management, imaging and vulnerability management using Dell Kace, Wsus and Retina
• Evaluated and reconfigured student lab’s Unix/Linux/Windows infrastructure including reallocating SAN disk space and engineered a robust, scalable and redundant Student child domain. Worked extensively on Linux technologies like Networking and permissions, RPMs, Bash Shell, High Availability, SSH, NIS, NFS, Samba, CUPs, Named, DHCP, PXE, File Systems, Raid 1 & 5, Apache HTTPD, SSL, LDAP, Syslog and scripting. Worked on Linux virtualization on KVM and VMWare. Installed and achieved know-how of Squid Proxy, OwnCloud, Puppet and Nagio technologies.
• Improved network and system security through setup and ongoing maintenance of Riverbed IPS, FireEye on edge, and Proofpoint Antispam for e-mail security. Delivered a cohesive solution of Fortigate for network and McAfee Encryption using ePO for end user antivirus and data security.
• Researched, recommended and implemented enhancements that improved system network security, reliability and performance i.e. Riverbed IPS, Proofpoint AS, McAfee Encryption and AV Management, Fortigate and Checkpoint firewalls, self-service Password Management and network management etc.
• Revamped backup infrastructure and implemented Symantec Backup Exec to schedule effective and timely backups providing further layer of data security. Optimized system availability (averaging 99.9% uptime) by using virtualization technologies.
