Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Creating and maintaining contacts with shipping companies, suppliers, customers and insurers to ensure top service at competitive prices.
• Identifying suppliers of goods and services, and select from based on qualities, abilities, and competitive prices.
• Obtaining quotations to purchase products or service.
• Evaluating bids and negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations.
• Issue local purchase orders and ensure that the terms and conditions of international purchase orders are met.
• Analyzing invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered.
• Working closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements.
• Tracking procurement and shipments and ensuring smooth running at all times.
• Preparing and following up damaged and stolen freight claims / troubleshooting any problems.
• Ensuring compliance with government regulations and directives relating to export and import regulations.
• Constantly evaluate suppliers on both service and quality of goods and pricing.
• Monthly report to CFO for all international vendor’s PO's by product compared to two years’ back.
• Manage the warehouse inbound, inventory, and outbound business with 100% accuracy and high efficiency to support project outbound plan.
• In charge of dealing with large accounts (e.g. Orange, Zain, and Umniah), understanding their business and specific requirements in order to maximize on service provided and develop opportunities to grow business.
• Manage the LSP business performance.
• Manage the outbound from central warehouse to sites by following up with Huawei subcontractors to ensure the on time delivery and materials safety.
• Monitoring the stock accuracy and location accuracy by performing weekly cycle count and quarterly stocktaking.
• Perform inspections for central warehouse and subcontractors warehouses to ensure following Huawei procedures for warehouse standards.
• Manage the reverse logistic from Jordan to China.
• Optimize the payment process with LSP with 100% accuracy.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure that SOP’s are being followed while continuously improving them.
• Generate monthly reporting on operational KPI’s.
• Support project team in the best way possible to push out scheduled deliveries and achieve targets.
• Ensure integrity of Data on WMS, and maintain the system timely to ensure daily closing.
• Making sure shipments are dispatched as per schedules and coordinated to clients.
• Involvement in numerous projects to improve internal processes, e.g. create new SOP’s and SLA’s.
• Mainly responsible for shipping, fright, and clearance all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Manage and plan all inbound and outbound shipments from origin to destination.
• Ensure timely supply of goods.
• Modes of transportation selection.
• Cost cutting and reduction.
• Clearance process follow up.
• Shipping rates negotiations.
• Monitor free zone inbound and outbound stock.
• Monitor customs guarantee status.
• Obtain required approvals.
