Corrective Maintenance
.Balances all Equipments to ensure that it returns to its normal working condition.
Eqipment monitiring.
.Monitor physical condition of rotating equipments so that it is maintained in a suitable condition and maintenance can be carried out in a planned manner.
Preventive Maintenance.
.Measures thickness of plant equipments using suitable equipment detector, and takes temperature and vibration readings.
Reporting.
.Take all routine and emergency incidents, maintain information in the database.Prepare routine and special reports as per directions from supervisor.
Policies & Procedures.
.Follow all relevant operational procedures so that work is carried out in controlled manner.

Duties And Responsibilities
• Checking equipment and operating systems and correct where ever necessary.
• Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
• Ensure high level technical support to lower level artisans.
• Show expertise in working with team and independently.
• Comply with company safety guidelines and procedures.
• Repair and perform preventive maintenance as per established standards on all rotating and static equipment and corrosion control.
• To indentify spare parts required for maintenance work, from manufactures drawings and parts lists.
• Inspect completed work for conformance with specs and requirements.
• Actively participate in accident and incident investigations.
• Ensure that risk assessments are filled and all hazards identified and control measures put in place.
Maintenance
* Plant equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance, overhauling problem equipment, basic rigging, pipe fabrication and installation and plant lubrication
* Pumps- Centrifugal- Single and multistage, piston, gear, vane, position displacement type and vertical spindle (modules mother splat, Cochrane, worman, KSB & sulzer)
* Furnaces, replacement of contact shoes, pressure rings, bass tubes, slipping devices (e.g. slipping blocks, co-fans repairs, pre heater assembly, hoist maintenance, insulations, arc testing, casing installation with casing welders and inspection of lifting equipment to HSEC Standards.
* Gearboxes- Worm and wheel, variable step up, reduction, gear train setting backlashes, tooth contact, shaft floats, overhauling, installing and alignment.
* Hydraulics and pneumatics- fault finding, actuators, variable and fixed pumps, hoses-fixed and removable fittings, circuit identification and trouble shootings.
* Conveyors- Rubber, chain, bucket elevators fixed drive coupling and condition monitoring.
* Compressors-Atlas copco, piston, screw, storages tanks and accessories.
* Boilers- Coal fired, steam reticulation, heat exchanges, pipe-work, steam valves reconditioning and servicing.
* Power generation - Overhauling turbines, HP. IP. LP, generators, high pressure valves reconditioning and commissioning.
1.Diploma in Mechanical Engineering pass with credit. 2.Mechanical Engineering Technicians Part 2 pass with distinction. 3.National certificate in Machine shop craft practice. 4.Skilled worker class one in Fitting including Machining.
