Duties & Responsibilities :
• Supervising Island wide showrooms of the group with regard to sales, debtors, credit notes inventory management, cash banking, invoicing and petty cash handling.
• Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and ensure the amounts of cash in hand, cheques in hand, credit card balances and current account balances in accounts.
• Making journal adjustments and passing entries through current account for the inter-company transactions of the group and also with regard to VAT free invoices, With Holding Tax and credit card commissions.
• Computation of input VAT, Output VAT, VAT & NBT( Nation Building Tax)to be paid, filing of VAT returns for each month and Preparation of schedules for cumulative VAT & NBT to tally with the accounts in the general ledger.
• Communicate with the Department of Inland Revenue for appeals, assessment notices, VAT related matters, and also liaise with the bank for fund transfers and daily banking.
• Maintenance of manual invoice, receipt & GRN book register and preparation of reports with regard to sales and debtors for the management.
Duties & responsibilities:
• Preparation of budgetary reports with regard to overhead expenses, monthly variance analysis, budgeted profit & loss account and balance sheet.
• Providing management control information related to cash, banking, petty cash expenses and inventory.
• Reconciliation of profits as per financial ledger and with the general ledger.
Chartered Institute Of Management Accountants (CIMA) – UK Foundation Level - Completed (CIMA Certificate In Business Accounting) Operational Level - Completed Managerial Level - Completed (CIMA Advanced Diploma In Management Accounting) Strategic Level (Final level) - Performance Strategy - Passed - Enterprise Strategy - Passed - Financial strategy - Will be sitting for the exams in November
