During my postgraduate studies I have been working as a certified Civil/Structural Engineer accredited by the Technical chamber of Greece, undertaking various studies and small construction projects. I monitored project progress, prepared technical reports and made presentations to clients but also reviewed drawings according to local authorities’ requirements with which I negotiated frequently.
This is a five year program leading to a degree in Civil Engineering. The focus of this course is both on Civil and Structural Engineering. It contains 64 modules which require final semester exams. Also, the majority of the modules require semester assignments as prerequisite in order to pass. At the end of the program the student has to conduct his/hers final thesis. In the last two years of my studies I chose to specialize further in the field of Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering. The basic areas of concentration are: Reinforced Concrete Structures, Steel Structures, Building Materials, Structural Analysis, Geology Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Highway Engineering, Hydralics and others.
