Ensure that all short / long-term goals and strategic objectives are met and implemented
Monitor and ensure all quality and reliability standards are followed
Identify room for improvement in the tool service protocols
Provide technical support to service technicians related to tool servicing as needed
Create, document and implement corrective actions related to tool incidents and / or NCR’s process for all internal or customer reported incidents
Co-ordinate with the relevant product line Drilling Solution Engineer, Sales and Engineering to conduct the investigation (root cause analysis) in a timely manner and update Incident Tracking System (ITrax) / JDE for all internal or customer reported incidents
Perform internal Service Quality facility audits, and maintain the quality management system per ISO 9001:2015 and conduct supplier audits
Perform reliability studies as required
Submit monthly service quality reports and conduct management review meeting with local management on annual basis
Implement and promote ISO 9001:2015 and drive 5S implementation
Identify the need for creating and establishing Local Service Procedures (LSP) based on reliability and quality trends of the tools
Work with local suppliers on approval tasks to meet requirements of quality management system, monitor and track vendor performance for special repair processes
Conduct and assist in risk managements related to competency, supplier, preventive maintenance and NCR’s
Monitoring, forecasting and planning of tools and spare parts inventory for all types of tools under assigned product line
Managing the life cycle of assigned product lines to maximize profitability
Liaising with OEM to modify and enhance existing equipment to meet client application requirements
Work with OEM, servicing and application engineering to develop all necessary technical support documentation (specification sheets, operating procedures, service procedures, etc.)
Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirement
Providing technical sales support to sales professionals and accompany sales professionals on sales calls as needed
As required, go to field locations to address specific tool issues and recommend solutions
Serve as liaison between sales, operations, servicing, manufacturing and the application engineering with regard to assigned product lines
Coordinating and monitoring vendors as required to ensure repair and delivery timelines are maintained
Qualifying new vendors mainly for tools, seal kits, coating / re-coating applications, MPI inspection
Work with client, OEM, quality, application engineering and servicing on product failure investigation, support and corrective action implementation
Managing, training and mentoring team of junior engineers working in the assigned product line
Providing operational and technical support to clients (including rig visits as required) for all downhole drilling tools such as drilling Jars, shock subs and mud motors
Providing jar placement recommendation to client for different types of drilling jars in various well configurations by performing jar placement simulation analysis to optimize and mitigate the probability of jar failure in the designed bottom hole assembly
Liaising with OEM on all technical issues related to downhole drilling tools
Investigating tool failures in field and preparing reports by identifying the root cause and corrective actions to avoid the recurrence
Preparing engineering procedures and service related quality procedures for downhole drilling tools as required
Familiar with the servicing of drilling jars, shock subs, mud motors and fishing stroking tools
Overall responsible for Quality and HSE activities in the company to ensure compliance with company QMS and safety procedures, relevant API Specs, NOV Grant Prideco procedures, ISO standard, Saudi Aramco requirements and any other applicable requirements
Monitoring, evaluating and improving / optimizing quality and safety related processes
Leading, participating and representing company in all external QHSE audits including quality and safety inspections conducted by Saudi Aramco
Doing root cause analysis, correction and corrective actions for customer complaints and for all non-conformances raised during audits
Conduct internal and vendor / supplier QMS and HSE audits
Act as a focal point on all QHSE issues with third party certification bodies such as API and NOV Grant Prideco, Saudi Aramco and other clients / contractors / vendors / suppliers
Preparing new quality and safety procedures, quality and safety plans, standard operating procedures as required
Performing final inspection and testing of all product parameters according to required standards /criteria
Develop key performance indicators and perform QMS data analysis to measure process performance and quality objectives
Training employees to familiarize them with procedures, their contribution towards QHSE including identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices
Advising and guiding management, supervisors and workforce on all matters pertaining to QHSE
Carrying out Investigation of the accidents / incidents/ near misses
MSc. Thesis research work includes the development of an empirical correlation using commercial reservoir simulator and statistical technique. The correlation is applicable to estimate movable oil recovery factor for a five spot water flooding pattern for communicating stratified reservoir
Completed Bachelors with distinction B.E Final Year Project on “Application of Underbalanced Drilling in a Depleted Reservoir” in collaboration with Weatherford Oil Tools Middle East Limited.
