Key Responsibilities
Sales Forecasting:
 Review and validate sales forecasts submitted by operating units on a monthly basis
 Monitor forecast accuracy of markets for each planning cycle and work on continuous improvement measures
Sales & Operations Planning:
 Collaborate with sales & marketing, finance and NPD teams to optimize procurement, manufacturing, inventories, and distribution
Demand Planning:
 Ensure continuity of supply and optimal material flow to operating units in DRC, Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, CAR, Cameroon, Kenya & South Sudan
 Managing inventory levels at the customer’s end to ensure minimal stock outs or excess stocks
 Compile demand requirements of various operating units, consolidate and release purchase orders to suppliers
Supply Planning:
 Liaise with suppliers in India, China and UAE regularly that products are sourced at right price and supplies are ensured on time
 Measure supplier performance for each of the planning cycles
 Preparation of product wise annual budgets and work with suppliers on resource and capacity planning
Contract Manufacturing:
 Manage supplies of consumer range of products through local contract manufacturer
 Release purchase orders, monitor production, arrange shipments and process payments to contract manufacturer
Logistics:
 Negotiating freight quotes with various shipping lines and freight forwarders on monthly basis
 Compile and review freight quotes from shipping lines/freight forwarders and approve shipments
 Manage/track status of transit containers to African operating units
Customer Service:
 Implemented Oracle R12 modules related to Purchasing, Order management & inventory to streamline purchasing, procurement and customer service functions
 Manage documentation for imports/exports through Oracle R12
 Liaising with government/private agencies and arranging for full set of clean documents for export to operating units
Others:
 Define SOPs & KPIs for markets and suppliers to better manage and measure efficiency of supply chain processes
 Contribute to new product development, launch planning and monitoring
 Member of product rationalization team, to categorize product portfolio and cut out non-performing products without affecting organization’s top and bottom line goals.
 Knowledge of export procedures to countries namely Angola, DRC, CAR, Zambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Kenya & South Sudan.

 Oracle R12 - Successfully implemented Purchasing, Order management & Inventory modules at Corporate HQ and African territories
 Demand Planning Module - Developed market specific demand planning modules in MS Excel.
 Sales Forecasting Module - Designed an in-house sales forecasting module that measures seasonality, stocks outs and product life cycle patterns.
 crAcker - Developed and implemented in house container tracking application
