Phase-2 of Chennai Metro comprises construction of three lines covering 118.9 km to be built at a cost of INR 63, 296 crores with all three corridors. Construction of approximate Nine 118.9 Km of UG Tunnel / Elevated viaduct with 118 Stations in Corridor 3 - 45.8 km (Madhavaram - SIPCOT, Corridor 4 -26.1 km (Lighthouse - Poonamallee Bypass ), Corridor 5 - 47.0 km (Madahvaram - Sholinganallur)
• Developing the most appropriate method and sequence of construction activities, in conjunction with the Project Manager, in order to ensure the project to be completed on Time.
• Preparation of Baseline Master Programme with Resource Planning along with the resource Deployment ‘S’ Curve and the planned progress curves to monitor the project.
• Updating the Master Programme with the actual progress as and when required to preparation of Catch-up schedule and Recovery Programme.
• Preparation of Application for “Extension of Time” with the Delay event analysis to substantiate a right of contractor to get the Time Extension and coordinating with Commercial Department for substantiation of claims
• Preparation of progress measurement system to control the project on site with different distribution factor based on the activity weightage for each and every activities involved in the construction
• Coordination with the Major Sub Contractors with their Programme in line with the approved Base line Programme and incorporation into the Master Schedule for further Monitoring and controlling of the Activities
• Review of Application of “Extension of Time” and coordinating with Commercial Department for substantiation of claims, Preparation of progress measurement system to control the project on site with different distribution factor for each and every activities involved in the construction
• Preparation of Baseline S Curve for different divisions like Overall, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and commissioning using the Primavera and Prepare the Report format to showing the planned percentage distribution for the entire construction period in both graphical and numerical ways
• Preparation of MIS Reports like MRS, WIP, Flash report, ED Statement, Claimed Vs Achieved Report and Monitering the Budget, Weekly/Monthly reports generation including ‘S’-curves for client & Management review, Cost control by Optimization of Resources utilization.
• Project S curves developed to monitor the project progress, showing planned, actual and forecasted data. The progress curve generated by rolling up from the lowest level. In addition, an overall manpower histograms developed showing planned manpower
• Construction Execution process, carried out regularly by CONTRACTOR, critically and analytically will provide effective control of the Project. The results of this process will be recorded in the review section of the monthly 'project progress and control report', which serves to inform COMPANY of the progress, the forecast the completion of the work and approved changes. • Preparation of Project Brief showing the Outline specification, scope of work, Condition of contract and Special conditions - This units contains the Project Description, Units and Floor details, Project Specification Bidding details, Liquated damages, Provisional Sum and Tender Qualifications
• Preparation of Horizontal breakdown of each trade or operation in chronological order of beginning of each item of work - Identification of each item of work by specification section number and by logically grouped activities - Identification of first work day of each item on horizontal time scale. Providing adequate spacing on programme for updating - providing complete sequence of construction by activity
