Ma’aden Gold is the owner of the Ad-Duwayhi Gold Project. The Ad-Duwayhi Gold Project is located approximately 450 km SW of Riyadh, 450 km E/NE of Jeddah. The Project involves an open pit gold mine and Gravity and CIL plant to produce gold. The plant is designed to process 2Mt/a at 3.6g/t.

- Working as part of the integrated PMT/PMC team, managing the EPC contractor to deliver the project
- Reporting to the PMC Project Manager
- Responsible for coordination of engineering, construction and commercial aspects and oversite of EPC progress
- Developed alternative contract execution strategies with owner to facilitate fast tract construction
- Developed recovery schedule to assist EPC contractor to complete the project on schedule
- Review of sub-contractors qualifications, capabilities, credentials prior to award
- Responsible for developing and issuing the PMC weekly reports

Bariq Mining Limited is the owner of the Jabal Sayid Copper Project. The business forms part of Barrick Gold Corporation, the largest gold mining company in the world, operates mines and advanced exploration and development projects on four continents.

The Jabal Sayid Copper Project is located 180km south-east of Medina, 400 km north-east of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. The project is expected to produce 60, 000 tpa of copper concentrate liberated from 3.4 Mtpa of ore.

• Reporting to the Project Director, provided critical support during the feasibility, construction, commissioning and more recently close-out phases to ensure this USD350Mil ore processing facility met key project deliverables.
• Part of site establishment team pre-construction phase to setup construction camps, services including power, water, waste, fuel as well as workshops, warehouse and laydowns, etc. In addition establishing project systems and procedures including site access, work permits, inductions etc.
• Worked with owners team stakeholders including mining, exploration, geology, and processing dept. to identify project interface deliverables their needs, to ensure their requirements are captured in the design requirements, identified project schedule interface to meet the stakeholders’ needs during the project implementation.
• Responsible for engineering coordination in detailed design phase between EPCM contractor, power plant contractor, operations team (mining and process) and external consultants.
• Reviewed and approved EPCM deliverables including scope of works, technical specifications, engineering reports, P&IDs, PFDs, design criteria, equipment data sheets, discipline drawings, plans and procedures.
• Monitored EPCM project schedule for engineering and construction works.
• Oversight of EPCM engineering and construction works including managing, monitoring and interpreting the scope and design, scope changes clarifications, variation claims.
• Organised and manage Owner team meetings, EPCM meetings, project schedule review sessions, tender reviews, contractor weekly meetings, kick off meetings, risk assessments, site visits, etc.
• Led all field based contractors under stewardship, providing onsite inspections and audits to compare against design specifications and drawings, reviewing quality, and driving Health, Safety and Environment compliance.
• Worked as the Client Site Engineer during for engineering and construction activities including signoffs on RFI, ITPs, MDRs, QA/QC.
• Involved as the client representative in the assembly and installation of jaw crusher, pebble crusher, apron feeder, belt conveyors, ball mill, sag mill, cyclones, thickeners, floatation system, and filter press.
• Involved as the client representative in the design and installation of the fire detection and suppression system, site services network, radio communication, fibre optic network, underground leaky feeder system.
• Supported Project Controls in substantiating project budget and forecasts by tracking costs in project execution phase.
• Led RFP/RFTs, Tender reviews and contract awards.
• Ensured a robust reporting framework was in place, and scrutinised project reports to identify potential risk.
• Personally managed owners scope with a total budget of USD $20Mil, implementing projects from conceptual design, detailed engineering to construction and handover for projects.
• Developed contract documents for owner managed scope including scope of work, specifications and tenders, evaluations and recommendations.
• Managing contractors to meet their weekly construction work plan goals by reviewing weekly reports and schedules and tracking key milestones.
• Provided leadership to 4 direct reports and a further 6 in-directs from Engineers through to Drafting personnel, Site Supervisors, Project Controllers and Admin support.

• Formed part of the WorleyParsons Engineering Services Team with the strategic objective of delivering against projects aligned with wider Boyne Smelter Capital Plan for the year.
• Managed in excess of USD $45Mil worth of capital projects including developing estimate, submitting the expenditure approval request with justification, business case, scope documentation. Projects included:
• Replacement of Plant Air Compressors & Associated Equipment ($35M);
• Fuelling Station Upgrade and Underground Fuel Tanks Replacement ($2M);
• Spent Cell Lining Plant Capacity Upgrade ($1.4M);
• Design Conveyor Guarding ($1M);
• Crane Rail Inspection ($500k);
• 750T Alumina Day Bin Shutdown and Inspection.
• Project Leader for s $35M engineering design study of Plant Air Compressors Project. The project was highlighted as the flagship project at Boyne Smelter Ltd aimed at reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions and received noted attention by the client.
• Developed technical specifications, scope of works, options studies, asset condition report, risk management plans, business case report, procurement plans, execution plans, commissioning and decommissioning plans.
