Review, interpret, and apply the project specific engineering standards, specifications & Drawings during engineering / procurement / construction phases of PO scope of supply/projects.
Review the technical specified requirements included in the PO to ensure that inspection and testing requirements are clearly covered.
Preparation of QC Procedures, method statements, Inspection Test Plans, Welding Control plan, repair analysis, trouble shooting for weld repairs, weekly & monthly Quality Reports and Final QC Dossier.
Review and approve the project specific quality plans /inspection test plans (ITP), MTCs submitted by sub-contractors.
Co-ordination with Client and Sub contractors, planning of the QC activities, QC personnel mobilization and NDT per project schedule and follow-up to ensure the work is done in compliance with contract requirements.
Participate in the Pre-Inspection Meeting (PIM). Kick off meeting whenever advisable and attend together with the appointed TPI inspectors & client representative.
Attend QC meetings and project meetings with Client and follow up on resolution of any outstanding QC issues.
Preparation of internal NCRs/ inter department quality memos of non-conformances noted during the fabrication/ manufacturing stages. Follow up on resolution of non-conformances and quality issues, verification of completion of resolution and close out of NCRs.
Preparation & review of technical delivery conditions for purchase orders of plates, pipes, flanges, fittings & electrodes etc.
Material Inspection and review of materials test certificates.
Preparing Welding Procedure Qualifications and Welder Qualifications.
Review the contractors Inspection Test Plan and all QA/QC documentations.
Evaluate the QA/QC system implementation by the contractor on site and ensure the compliance with their Quality manual.

Witness Mechanical testing of materials (Tensile, Bend test, Impact test, hardness test etc.), as per approved test plan, relevant engineering drawing, international standard and project specification.
Fit up and welding inspection of piping, structural and Pressure vessels, Quality control supervision, Materials inspections and Vendor Inspection. Inspection of piping systems with ref. to P & ID and Isometric drawings.
Monitor welder performance and report to QC Manager on weekly basis. Monitoring welding consumables storage and baking requirements
Well familiar with stage wise and final inspection of structural, skids, pressure vessels and dished end's etc.
Dimensional Inspection of off-shore frames, piping, pressure vessels, structural, skids, and all Critical Structures.
Witness PMI, hardness test, NDT and hydro test of Pressure vessels, Tanks and piping, pneumatic tests for RF pads as per the approved procedure.
Monitoring Pre and Post Weld Heat Treatment of static equipment and piping per various Codes & process requirements and review of Review of heat treatment charts.
Raising punches lists for incomplete works and follow up and close out of punch list items.
NDT Inspections like Radiographic testing film Interpretation (RTFI), UT, MPT, & LPT. Calibration of welding machines, measuring & testing instruments.
Updating the calibration status of pressure gauges, load cell, elcometer and all other inspection/measuring devices.
Witness of load tests of offshore frames, pad eyes of big structures as per the approved procedure.
Surface Preparation and Painting, Coating and Galvanized coating inspection. Witness Holiday testing and Adhesion testing of Painting and coating.
Documentation as per ISO standards and approved ITP and Quality plan. Preparation of Vendor Data book/Dossier provided with all relevant documents.
Successful team member in for the certification audit of ASME U & U2 stamp and ISO audits.
Successful team member for the certification audit of API 4F, 8C, 2B AND API 650
