Reserach Reservoir Engineer at University of Calgary
  • Canada
  • My current job since September 2009

•Conducted sensitivity analysis to identify the most important reservoir parameters that impact the production profile of recovery process.
•Generated a set of hundred geological realizations of the reservoir using a sequential geo-statistical simulation method.
•Structured a simulation work flow for the assisted history matching process (AHM) by incorporating reservoir realizations into simulation through a solid interface between Ensemble Kalman Filter (EnKF) technique and a reservoir simulator component.
•Identified best time interval for updating models to the field measurements such as oil production rate, cumulative SOR and temperature.
•Developed robust workflow called Guarantee Diversity, which is an efficient tool to measure the quality of the models resulting from the assisting history matching loop.

Senior Reservoir Engineer at Schlumberger
  • Canada
  • March 2008 to June 2009

Schlumberger Information Solution (SIS) AB Calgary -Canada

•Worked as an engineering support analyst and being the resident Senior Reservoir Engineer for SIS Canada
•Provided technical support and training for ECLIPSE suit of simulation software products as well Petrel RE & FrontSim
• Provided consulting services in reservoir simulation engineering
•Research projects and testing on ECLIPSE with FrontSim to help development of FrontSim
•Participated in Stumberger information solutions series events.

Senior Reservoir Engineer at Sirt-Esso Oil Company
  • Libya
  • December 2002 to November 2007

•Monitored and optimized oil and gas production ensuring total daily oil and gas production remained constant
•Worked as a team leader for a low permeability reservoir project development
•Monitored gas lifted wells performance utilizing PipeSim software
•Supervised cased hole logging programs such PLT, RST, and RFT in cooperation with service oil companies
•Developed and executed a strategic plan for assigned assets.
•Selected the optimum new well locations in cooperation with G&G staff
•Analyzed open hole well logging for formation evaluation
•Designed, conducted and analyzed oil and gas well testing programs
•Prepared recommendations and monitored workover and re-completion operations of oil and gas wells in cooperation with the drilling and workover division
•Executed and managed a number of reservoir engineering projects to optimize the assigned reservoirs performance-reservoir simulation studies
•Managed reserves and prepared reserve evaluation for the assigned areas
