• Serves as main point of contact on all IT-related matters
• Formulate, recommend, implement, and administer ongoing company-wide information technology strategic plans and policies.
• Enforce all ordinances, resolutions, orders, directives, regulations and policies and procedures relating to company information technology, including the computer equipment and systems usage agreement; and make recommendations regarding adoption of, or modifications to, such ordinances, resolutions, orders, directives, regulations and policies and procedures as necessary to respond to changes in technology or to further the orderly, efficient and economic conduct of company’s information technology.
• Efficiently administer all information technology functions, including voice and data communications systems, of the company and its constituent departments
• Develop, support, protect, and maintain all company information technology assets and infrastructure, and coordinate and administer the company’s network systems, e-mail accounts, Intranets, and all other information technology related infrastructure.
• Negotiate, acquire, and facilitate the installation of all information technology products and services, and administer and monitor all contracts with information technology consultants, vendors and installers.
• Conduct continuous research into the information technology market and make recommendations as appropriate regarding acquisition or upgrade of information technology hardware/software/services.
- Network Administrator: Managing Microsoft Windows 2000 network with ISA server and Exchange 2000 for over 25 desktop computers with 2 sites connected through VPN. Internet connection through leased line and satellite dish.
- Responsible for evaluating and purchasing equipments.
- Planning for Network security. Designing secure physical network, Firewall setup, IDS, Antivirus, and security policy on all client computers.
- Onsite customer support, provide solutions and implement network designs.
- Provide technical support for customers and New Horizons trainers.
- Contribute in evaluating new trainers.
- Responsible for Asset Control.
- Responsible for classrooms setup. We have 15 classrooms with over 250 computers for students.
- I teach all the courses required for the MCSE/MCSA/MCSES/MCSEM Certificates as well as UNIX/LINUX and SCNP/SCNA track certificates
Trainer for the MCSE track
I was the Network Administrator for the Local LAN. We had Microsoft Windows NT4.0 Domain with Ethernet LAN for more than 100 PCs and all of them connected to the Internet through Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0.
Responsible for all Networks, I supported 200 users on four networks with eight servers (3 Netware 3.12, 2 Netware 4.1, and 3 windows NT 4.0) in addition to many Windows 95 networks.
On a corporate wide basis evaluate, recommend and implement appropriate cost-effective systems and products to meet future company needs.
As project leader, I carried out the installation and start-up of the Beirut International Airport Network System. Task was successfully accomplished under extreme pressure.
Also responsible for purchasing equipments, maintaining network security, planning for disaster recovery, performance measurement, software release management and technical support for our engineers and office stuff
