- Leading the group of internal quality inspectors. Manage the activities of more than 600 welders and 100 welder supervision personnel
- Preparing and arranging for welding and brazing procedures qualification. Providing welding expertise in development of specific welding procedures
- Preparation and arranging for welding personnel training and certification.
- Analysis of the contracts, customer specifications, estimation and arranging the resources (human, materials and equipment) to support the project schedule
- Planning, organizing and supervising the heat treatment operations
- Selection, appraising, testing and weldability evaluation of various types of materials, welding consumables and equipment
- Liaison and close cooperation with major world recognized customers (Aker Solutions, BP Shipping Ltd, BW Offshore, Chevron, Damen, Euronav, FPS Ocean, Hyundai, NITC, OLT, OSG, Saipem ENI, Samsung, SBM, Seaspan, Shell), classification societies (LRS, GL, BV, DNV, ABS, RMS, IRS, RINA, NKK) and major materials / equipment suppliers (Air Liquid, Binzel, Esab, Miller, Lincoln, Kemppi, TBI)
The major achievements during the service period are:
- Qualification of the full set of PQRs and WPS, welding personnel certification for reconditioning jobs on LNG vaporizers (2010 / 2011)
- Establish the set of welding procedures for PAW and GTAW-orbital processes on stainless steel, GTAW and GMAW processes on aluminum cryogenic LNG pipelines and cargo tanks structural elements (2010)
- Establish the full process of ESW cladding for two big conversion projects. Deposited over 2.5 tons of INCONEL 625 material (2009 / 2010)
- Establish the welding procedures, welders training and certification for titanium chemical injection pipelines and duplex / super-duplex stainless steel sub-sea pipelines fabrication (2007)
- Managing the activities of welding engineers group.
- General supervision of all jobs in the yard related to welding.
- Yard certification according to Class requirements
- Preparation and arranging for welding procedures qualification and welders certification.
- Welding consumables procurement.
- Establishing the NDT requirements and scope for welded structures
