The role of Head of Sales had both strategic and operational responsibilities. The
position played a fundamental role in developing future growth, and providing
vision, direction and leadership. I was responsible for heading the Sales team
from the TV side together with the News Paper
Interface between Channel and Sales teams, trade marketing and clients by:
Maintaining close working relationships
Promoting the environment
Enhancing communication of information
Identifying media opportunities
Ensure sponsorship revenue targets are achieved on the Channel:
Identify new business opportunities to compensate for revenue loss due to
programme changes
Supply revenue projections to channel for upcoming new programmes
Compile programme business plan evaluations
Provide input on sales feasibility for prospective/possible new programme to
channel
Provide feedback to Channel on competitor and marketplace information
Up sell signature shows
Market Channel and provide programme information to clients and Sales
team
Monitor programme sell-outs and communicate to Channels and Sales team
Brief in sponsorship sales videos and professional packs, advertising
campaigns and sponsorship template to
