Completing City Café Restaurant in Down Town Beirut:
o Project in brief: City Café is a high end restaurant and café in down town Beirut. With the 140 m2 industrial kitchen, this restaurant serves 150 persons.
o Scope of Work: As per our contract agreement we were responsible for the complete execution of civil works, MEP works and Interior works. My responsibilities act as Mechanical Engineer Director for all MEP works (Drainage system, Cold and Hot water distribution systems, HVAC system which includes Chiller piping network and ventilation system, Fire fighting piping network, Fire alarm system, low current system, lighting system and Sound system).
o Responsibilities:
A) Preparing the electrical and mechanical shop drawings.
B) Preparing a complete BOQ and submittals.
C) Coordinating with Solidere (Consultants and Supervisors) concerning all approvals and requirements.
D) Taking prices from all suppliers and subcontractors and signing contracts.
E) Purchasing all materials (pumps, pipes, cables, valves, water heaters, panel boards and all other accessories), Fire Fighting Network, Domestic, Drinking, Drainage.
F) Coordination the mechanical disciplines “Plumbing, Fire fighting, and HVAC systems” with civil work.
G) Supervising the mechanical work, doing a quality control to meet the specs. and drawings requirements.
H) Site supervision (for electrical and mechanical staffs).
I) Preparing As-built drawings.
J) Controlling the paper works as time schedules, site reports, operation manuals, work progress reports, letters, etc…
