Worked with Supervisory PMO of this Design and Build Medical city as Client Representative for the Ministry of Interior, Security Planning and Development Agency. The Hospital and Data Center are contractually required to be LEED certified ‘Gold’.

The world class complex spread over 2.6 million meter square is located at Dhahban, Northern outskirts of Jeddah city and comprises of;
- 3 hospitals with a total of 1, 250 beds
- 2, 940 residential units; Villas, Family Apartments, Singles' housing tower buildings
- Support Buildings; Mosques, Sports, Recreation, Retail and Child Care centers, Data Center

Supervised this large development at the Northern outskirts of Taif city in the capacity of Consultant's Protect Manager. The new campus spread over 16 million meter square has been designed by my office, Al-Naim Consultants. It will serve 168, 000 persons and consists of 32 colleges, 16 for boys and 16 for girls, both zones separated by a natural 'wadi' running across the campus. In addition to academic buildings, the site contains administration tower, hospital, research centres, exhibition halls, sports area / stadium, staff and student housings, mosques, markets, schools, water towers, switchgear buildings etc.
General Siteworks Phase I contract includes:
- Grading works for roads and parkings (Cut 6m m3, Fill 9m m3)
- Roads about 60 km long and asphalt 1.2m m2 (Main, Collector & Local roads of various widths: 100m, 60m, 32m, 24m, 12m, & 8m with roundabouts)
- Parking for about 75, 000 cars in 3.5m m2 designated areas (Asphalt 2.7m m2)
- Pre-cast concrete fence of about 17.5km length around the campus.
- 4 No. Main Gates & 5 No. Branch Gates.
- 8 No. Reinforced concrete Box Culverts.
- Slope Protection of Rip-Rap & Shotcrete.
- Open Channels etc.

Appointed as supervision consultant Civil engineer responsible for all Civil, Structural and Architectural works. Duties included review of shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, quantities etc. A civil inspector and a site surveyor reported directly to self. The campus designed by TAC/DMJM Int'l /DSG of USA is spread over 5 million meters square and Phase II included:
- Vehicle Bridge: 24m long (span) x 50m transverse, 1.35m deep RC box girders on pot bearings.
- Pedestrian Bridgeway: RC box girder connecting various buildings & covered by space frame of 102 x 57m.
- 3 No. RC ground raw water tanks of 16m radius & height of 5m each.
- Chiller Building 55 x 125m with basement, heavy chiller foundations and over-head cranes.
- Pump House, Electrical Switchgear Building and Chlorinator House.
- Grading works, Agricultural and detention ponds, deep wells, irrigation networks etc.
All building RC walls are cladded with pre-cast concrete panels and roof/floor slabs are precast Hollow Core.

Worked as Resident Engineer heading supervision team. The two-storey building designed by my office consisted of Main Branch, Ladies' Branch and Investment Centre. The project also included Drive-up ATM, annex building, underground tanks, car parking, and landscaping. New corporate identity of the bank (ABN-Amro) is incorporated to serve as 'flagship' branch in Saudi Arabia. Structure is reinforced concrete on raft foundation (dewatering and soil improvement was done due to high ground water) with precast concrete cladding and structural glazing system.

Represented the construction supervision & management consultant, HLW International LLP of New York. Was responsible for reviewing all structural shopdrawings, calculations, material submittals, RFIs, site inspections & concreting supervision. The building consists of 2 Podiums of 4-storeys each, linked via 2 bridges at each level. architectural features such as lense-shaped atrium slabs, elliptical & irregular shape columns, and curtain wall enclosure are prominent. Typical floor construction consisted of one-way reinforced concrete joists, 525mm deep, supported by wide beams of equal depth, spanning column to column, typically 500 by 500mm. reinforced concrete shear walls provide the lateral bearing.

Was mainly responsible for reviewing the structural shopdrawings and material submittals of Bid Package 03 (substructure) and 04 (superstructure). Also involved in site visits, Requests for information and clarifications, rectification sketches, and represented the A/E in weekly progress meetings with the Cleint, Project Mangers and the Contractors.
