Support the HSE Manager to ensure the effective implementation of construction safety plan of the project according to "Saudi Aramco" requirements.
Coordinate with client and consultant of the project.
Site Safety monitoring wherein the monitoring activities, meeting, reviews, safety viola
tions, rectification measures, and incidents reports are included in the Weekly & Monthly Progress Report.
Safety related site surveys, identifying potential hazards involved with piling works,
unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and suggestions and remedial actions. Inspecting
work permits required on site, like Hot work, LOTO, Confined space entry,
Excavation, Lifting Operation etc. Use of gas detecting equipments and carrying out
test and making reports of presence toxic gas in confined space before starting the
works.
Worked with Chinese company CNEEC (China National Electrical Engineering Company) Communicate health and safety action plans, concerns, and decisions to respective personnel on site, client, and contractors.
Develop work method statements, JSA’s, and risk assessments in line with local legal, Client requirement.
Develop the site induction programme and ensure all personnel attend the HSE induction program and mandatory trainings.
Facilitate the inspection and maintenance of Heavy Equipment and Machinery / Power tools during pre-deployment and during periodic inspection.
Implement proactive measures to curb accident / incident, unsafe behaviours / conditions from recurrence through promotion, campaigns, and talks / training. Manage the site HSE records (i.e. audit, inspection, meetings, incidents, tool box talks, pre-job start talk, etc.)
To develop, implement and maintain safety management systems (OHSAS 18001:2007) and procedures to reduce occupational injuries, illness, and financial losses to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions, utilizing knowledge of industrial health and safety laws, standards and regulations.
Conduct Risk Assessments and part of Process safety team involved in PSM assignments (HAZID, HAZOP, FEA, QRA, ALARP, JSA) to support the establishment of a safe working environment and adherence to defined standards and procedures.
Conduct COSHH assessment for all work processes involving hazardous materials and that these are readily accessible at the workplace.
Worked with 3M experts in calculation of workplace exposure limits in order to minimize the effect of hazardous substance subjected to employees. And suggest the appropriate protective equipments according to hazard.
Conducting facility suitability study (FSS) for warehouse storage of hazardous goods; develop proper sop for handling hazardous chemicals.
Investigate process safety related accidents and incidents involving fires, explosions, loss of containment of toxic materials. Manage HSE team in the investigation and develop remedial actions to reduce risk. Health monitoring and health surveillance, prepares monthly HSE statistics and reports.
Familiar with the safe handling of hazardous species according to EPA and state laws. Develop procedures and characterize the key chemical, environmental and/or toxicological
characteristics of the different types of hazardous and non hazardous wastes, and make proper incarnation.
Track, and identify applicable laws & regulations with specific emphasize on Air & Water Quality, Noise levels and solid & hazardous waste to evaluate the potential impact of these laws on the operations of facilities.
Trains and educates employees on Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Food Safety standards and regulations;
Reporting to HSE Manager.
Participation and contribute to Technical Safety, Process and Engineering review on projects
To investigate all Accidents & Near misses for root causes & recommendations to prevent similarities. Prepare reports & follow up on recommendation.
Developing ALARP demonstration for process safety risks and developing Safety/HSE Cases (for Design and Operations phases) Prepare Activity Risk Assessment to all jobs before the start of any job with the Project Team.
Maintain liaisons with outside organizations, such as fire departments, mutual aid societies, and rescue teams, so that emergency responses can be facilitated.
Conduct training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on health and safety practices and legislation
To interact with plant operators & supervisors for data reconciliation and advice changes to fulfill the procedures and regulatory norms.
