As a Maintenance In charge (production line, vehicle and equipment maintenance) my duties are
• Ensuring optimal staffing levels are upheld to guarantee continuous departmental coverage at all times
• Led and mentored maintenance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability, resulting in enhanced employee engagement, productivity, and adherence to safety standards.
• Developing, Scheduling and supervising preventive and predictive maintenance plans in accordance with production plans that will minimize service repairs in the long run.
• Designed and executed integrated and smart maintenance programs, combining preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, resulting in improved equipment reliability, extended lifespan, and optimized maintenance costs.
• Fulfilled root cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex machinery breakdowns, providing accurate diagnosis and implementing effective repair solutions to minimize production disruptions.
• Follow up the maintenance teem to Carried out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults.
• Executed cost-effective inventory management strategies, optimizing spare parts availability and reducing procurement lead times, resulting in improved maintenance turnaround times and cost savings.
• Successfully managed the installation and commissioning of new production lines, including batching plants, ice plants, and chillers, ensuring seamless integration into existing operations and achieving optimal performance.
• Planning, managing and controlling the maintenance budget.
• Conducted regular health and safety risk assessments, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks, resulting in a safe working environment and reduced accidents/incidents.
• Responsible for the recruitment, retention and development of all maintenance staff.
• Developed and sustained robust partnerships with contractors, suppliers, and interdepartmental teams, proficiently Coordinating external repairs, contract negotiations, and ensuring timely, budget-conscious service excellence.
• Providing support to other departments where applicable.
• Diagnosing and repairing faulty equipment in case of complicated problems (Cat construction equipment's, trucks, compressors, power generators, Batching plants).
• Utilized advanced diagnostic tools and software, such as TEXA (multi use), ET (CAT), SD connect, and ACTIA Diagnosis Devices, for efficient and accurate vehicle computer diagnosis and equipment troubleshooting, expediting repairs and minimizing equipment downtime.
As a Maintenance Engineer my duties were Responsible for
o Troubleshooting of all machines which are used in Diaper & Tissue industry.
o Conducting routine maintenance inspections, performing repairs, troubleshooting technical issues, and Implementing Preventive maintenance plans.
o Promoting a safety conscious working environment.
o Ensuring the optimal functioning of machinery and equipment within a company.
o Monitoring workshop performance.
o Planned, measured, purchased and coordinated installation of critical, largest and most expensive project in the company’s history
o Repairing compressors, generators and heavy equipment.
As a Maintenance Engineer my duties were Responsible for
o Repairing compressors, generators and heavy equipment.
o Carried out & followed up break down & preventive maintenance works.
o Conducting routine maintenance inspections.
o Ensuring the optimal functioning of machinery and equipment within a company.
o Member of the Committee to assess the production line technically to obtain a certificate of HACCP.
o Member of the ISO monthly Audit Committee.
o Researched and resolved food industries’ machine issues contributing to consistent increase in production and reliability, as well as a drop in breakdowns, spoilage, and overall facility maintenance.
