I am reporting to the GM with the following key roles:
- Following the daily quality activities through the KPIs and reporting system, & ensure that all food safety requirements are implemented.
- Managing and improving Quality CAPEX to develop the process, save & control costs, achieve the annual goals & innovate solutions for the problems.
- Leading a project of RO units upgrade & automization with Veolia getting permeate water TDS 2.0 - 2.5 ppm.
- Upgrading & automizing the remineralization unit for effective control of salts.
- Qualifying the factory for ISO 22000:2018 & HACCP and being certified with them in June 2023.
- Upgrading the Sanitization process to be 3-layer: Hot water, UV & Ozonation.
- Implementation of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 & GMP requirements and working on being certified with them.
- Establishing Occupational Health and Safety department in the factory with all SOPs, tools & requirements.
- Leading a project of new well drilling, from Geo-scanning until start-up.
- Obtaining evaluation “Remarkable” in Superior Taste Award, ITI, Belgium.
- Applying for SASO quality mark & Saudi Made program to add on the label.
- Qualifying the factory for NSF certification of international quality standards.
- I’ve represented Najran Water in the “Quality Forum” held by TVTC, as a speaker about “Efficacy of QMS: Development, Competitiveness & sustainability”.
I am working as plant Quality manager with the following duties: • Follow with my team the daily process activities, reporting and KPI system from raw materials to the finished product. • Monitor, validate & develop the operation steps, and conduct frequent trainings to ensure healthy and smooth operation. • Conduct operation review meetings with GMP & HACCP team I’ve formed to discuss, solve & develop the process issues. • Cooperate with other departments & top management to facilitate the process, achieve the annual targets, save and control costs, decrease the manpower and machinery defects, and review and solve the customer complains for Sustainable and Safe process. • Conduct frequent internal auditing, along with external ones to cover and prevent gabs and improve the teamwork proficiency.
As a team leader, I was responsible for getting the plant sites ready to fulfil the daily production plan by getting the whole sites parameters within the specifications under a tight control with my team and under the SOPs and the KPIs systems that I developed. I was supervising the production process along with the activities of the Chemical and the microbial laboratories from raw materials to the finished product along the process. I was also supervising the CIP and sanitization process for the production lines and the RO unit. ● I’ve supervised a project for transferring the frequent sanitization of the system from Chemical dependent to Hot Water dependent Sanitization, improving the efficiency of disinfection, reducing the microbial fouling and protecting the Stainless Steel parts from chemical corrosion.
I’ve established a Quality system for the SCADA purified water treatment unit including SOPs, reporting system, and the KPI measurements. I’ve supervised the activities of the unit which was consisting of Pre-treatment unit, RO and CEDI with output of 1.3 µs/cm, as being validated under US Pharmacopoeia and MOH auditing & finally Heat exchanger to maintain the Purified Water preserved at 5°C to 10°C. I was also supervising the frequent CIP and sanitization works according to the data analysis of the plant. ● I supervised the new expansion project of Purified Water treatment with the concerned vendors. I’ve put the URS, contacted Italian, Chinese, Indian and local vendors, revised the technical offers and got a 30% discount from the Indian vendor with highly branded European components. I also have very good relationships with wide variety of Egyptian and international vendors.
I supervised the laboratories activities during the shift, following the raw water parameters such as EC, pH, Disinfectant, TDS, Total Hardness, Alkalinity, Turbidity, Fluoride, Iron, Chloride, Nitrite, Nitrate, Sulphate, Ammonium, preparation of different Agar media & conducting the microbiological tests on raw and product water, to get them within the specifications in the product water under Nestle Lab Instructions protocols (LI), the KPI system monitoring & operation review. Our activities also included following the RO system frequent CIP and sanitization after crossing the upper limits of the process. ● I passed with my team the Proficiency tests sent from Nestle regional quality management for the Chemistry and Microbiology Lab with grade Excellent for 2 years.
I was responsible for the operation and the chemistry lab of the water treatment plant testing water parameters like electrical conductivity EC, pH, Disinfectant, TDS, Total Hardness, Alkalinity, Turbidity, Iron, and Chloride and follow the operation quality to get them within the Coca-Cola SOPs specifications for the Syrup and the product. ● I attended the installation of a new water treatment unit for the new German production line from Krones and cooperated with the German engineers and technicians while installing the supplying lines from the water treatment plant.
